Good size cafe on corner. Sandwiches are fresh with variety of fillings. Friendly efficient service. Newspapers and toilets. The only shortfall was the weak coffee.

Rosey Joan's Cafe at the river end of Pakington St, is a little gem for the regulars at this cafe. An interesting menu with many tasty treats available at very reasonable prices. Delicious selection available for breakfast, well worth a visit. Take away coffee and...food available and an interesting range of cakes and other delicacies available for morning or afternoon tea. Not a large venue so be early to obtain a table for breakfast. In the crowded Cafe scene in this part of town, it is one not to be missed.More

Fresh, tasty sandwiches made to order with a wide and delicious range of options and dfferent types of bread to choose from. Made on the spot so not super quick but well worth the wait and very reasonably priced. Coffee is great - full of...flavour and made as requested. Daily newspapers available and a warm and welcoming cafe (more old-style, than others in the area) with friendly staff. Highly recommended!More

This place is a regular haunt for me. They have even created my own dish which I have on most of my visits. Wonderful staff, food and atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful.

Dropped in for a coffee and something to eat. What a lovely place. The owners greeted you a smile. The coffee was very good and I am very fussy with my coffee. I had the chicken schnitzel focaccia that was tasty and my friend had...the Persian eggs. Both were delicious and made with love. Definitely go backMore

Popped into to Roses Joans. Refreshing bright corner shop with average normals (like dull ol’ me) unlike the trendy-set cafes further west. Served up a Spanish wrap with iced coffee. Lovely food in peaceful home-like hospitality.

Dropped in for a quick coffee and snack for morning tea and Rosey Joans did not disappoint. Sometimes the Pakington Street café strip can be overly trendy and over-priced, not this place! Not pretentious or super trendy, just good quality, fresh and tasty food at...reasonable prices. The coffee here is always good. Myberry and custard tart was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.More

Our best breakfast yet! They wren't exaggerating when they said variations welcome on the menu! Both kids altered menu items and waitress didn't even blink, remained friendly and good natured. Kids loved their hot drinks and breakfast items - breakfast bruschetta (poached eggs were cooked...perfectly) and a toasted ham and cheese foccaccia. We had the salmon eggs (beautifully presented, with plenty of salmon) and falafel, hummous salad foccaccia - falafel were yum! Place got super busy, and you can understand why with the quality of the food and drinks, but two staff on remained friendly and not flustered. Saw pies available, also well priced, along with brownies and other sweet slices. Will definitely have to come back to try more things on their menu! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Well done to Rosey Joans!More
