Lucky we made a reservation because it was very busy; an unfortunate side effect is it's quite noisy. We were seated promptly and ordered food and drinks at the bar. Drinks are collected from the same area. The meals, fresh salmon and a cannelloni were...served within 15 minutes, quite reasonable considering how busy they were. We found the meals tasty and a good size and reasonable value.More

Returning to Bendigo for a short stay after 18 months we noted that the Old Boundary continued to please its patrons. So we booked in and the service was excellent. Our meals were very enjoyable and comfortably rated very good for this type of fare.

The Old Boundary has loads of space in the bistro, which is decorated with nostalgic memorabilia. The menu is fairly typical for a pub in a regional area. We had the garlic bread to start ($9). I am never sure why bread and butter plates...do not always accompany garlic bread. Garlic bread is made to share but, without plates, the table and usually the floor becomes littered with crumbs. Do you use your napkin as a plate or attempt to grab the attention of waitstaff? We ended up resorting to the former as it was busy and we were hungry. I had the open souvlaki with pea falafels ($26), which tasted light and fresh but was fairly standard fare.More

We had dinner here on the 30/12. Hugely popular restaurant, bustling and with a great vibe. My wife had the Thai salad which she loved and we shared the lemon meringue which was decadent! Yum! The only complaint was the Salt and Pepper Calamari meal....No taste, totally lacking of salt and pepper, as bland a dish as I’ve EVER had. The accompanying Mayo was also tasteless. My first bite into the Calamari and all I could taste was hot oil. Considering the popcorn chicken and it’s accompanying dipping source was so tasty, I’m not sure why they’d got the Calamari so wrong. The other dishes we’d seen come out to other tables and ours looked to be enjoyed by all. It’s a shame they’d had a hit with everything else but the Calamari was a huge miss.More

Kids nuggets & chips were same as every pub. The parma, wasn't the best. A bit oily. The salad could use much improvement. The fish & chips were good, salad could use improvement also. The staff were super friendly, customer service was a 10/10

Superb service, excellent bar staff including great cocktails by Angus, and best Parma cheffed by Brodie. Like a second home.
