I had breakfast at Sim'R cafe after reading the reviews and the raves it got on a visit to Bendigo. And they were all right - breakfast was spectacular. This is a must dine at cafe you will be in for a treat.
Came by with the family for some brunch and was not disappointed.
The chai latte was amazing, as was the other coffee.
The food was great, normal portion sizes.
The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming.
A nice atmosphere and plenty of seating with space...to socially distance.
The kids menu is well priced and the portions are sufficient.
A great spot to visit!More
Breakfast for Family 4 (kids aged 12 & 8)
Staff attentive, personable and friendly.
Kids menu available.
They know hot to make a great coffee!
Kids enjoyed their milkshake and fresh juice.
Downside, Sim R don’t have bacon and egg on the set “All day...breakfast” menu.
Instead you need to add bacon as a side ($5) to the “poached/fried egg on sourdough “ $14.90 set menu item.
Once you add sides your breakfast sure adds up!
Food is delicious, cooked perfectly and they use good quality produce especially the bacon.
Total for 4 to have breakfast and a drink was $99.50, a bit hard to digest.
I suggest to share the sides between two people, to cut your costs and Sim R to add a bacon and egg to their set menu.
I recommend Sim R & would go back to support a good local business.More
I eat out 2-3 times a week in Bendigo and then do my review. Today I ate here at Sim’r. The reviews were good so I thought I’d give it a shot. Pulled pork Eggs benny plus bacon mushrooms and spinach on GF bread. The...sides were fantastic and the eggs poached well but the GF bread was way under toasted and soggy. Pretty big let down as the rest of the meal was good. The coffee ☕️ was really nice too. Most Expensive lunch I’ve had in Bendigo so far which was a minus. 3/5More
Phoned ahead for a take away breakfast after checking out everything availabile in these difficult times last Saturday. They couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating or fast. I had the pulled pork eggs Benedict. Wasn't sure if that would work together but it was delicious....Best Benny in Benders. Well presented. Toast was included separately so not soggy. My partner had a bacon and egg toasty and said it was the best he had ever had. We are returning again in the morning. Coffee was good too. I have brought bread there before. Always very good. I had the best bacon & scrambled eggs ever, creamy scrambled eggs and perfectly cooked with sensational coffee. The service was also great, they take the prize for the friendliest and most bubbly staff. Will definitely come back here.
