Grazing menu was awesome. Lunch was well presented and tasty food on each dish. I would certainly recommend it.

Never fails to impress, fabulous food well presented and full of flavour. Had the roaming lunchtime menu and it was fantastic value. Service was excellent.
Masons of Bendigo is greatly loved by discerning local diners for the consistent high quality of its food, wines and service. I have dined here four times and have always found the experience to be quite special. There is a strong emphasis on showcasing ingredients...sourced from the region, and the assortment of wines also includes local wineries. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen is exquisitely presented, making the meal a visual feast as well as a gustatory one. The wait staff are attentive but not intrusive, and demonstrate good knowledge of the products. Our most recent dinner at Masons occurred under the prevailing conditions for COVID-safe dining, but we felt no serious disadvantages, except that the restaurant was only half full. It was an absolute delight!More
We have been wanting to try Masons ever since it was written up by Qantas as one fo the reasons they opened the Sydney-Bendigo route. Finally had a chance to try it. Staff were friendly, and after clearing a booking mixup, we got a seat...upstairs (I think the mix up was my fault). Staff did not come upstairs often enough (only complaint) but otherwise the food and service were excellent. Everyone said the pork hock was best, and I found the lamb puff a very close second. The degustation servings were small but enough for us to enjoy the flavours, and after 6 small courses we left satisfied. They were also able to accomodate our food requests easily and with no fuss at all. Will definitely return.More
Had the Roaming Lunch. Six course for $48.50pp. I must admit I was very surprised at the very high quality and beautiful presented dishes. Each course was a quite adequate size. Each full of flavours, tangy and quite original combinations. Asian theme beautifully done. Desert...was a wonderful combination of flavours beside also looking beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyable lunch and felt pleasantly full after meal. After meal coffee was very nice and to a high standard according to my wife who is very very particular about her coffee. She particularly loved her martini. We were situated on the first floor, pleasant subdue surroundings with lovely lead glass windows, apparently original. Although I thought the service was a little bit slow to start, (restaurant was quite busy) the pace picked up at a very comfortable rate when courses started to arrive. Waitress very nice and pleasant and took time to explain and answer questions fully about the meals when served. Obviously a very popular restaurant as we could not book a dinner spot and settled on a lunch.. Drinks maybe a little bit on high side but my wife loved the dirty martini and my dirty G&T ($15) using a local gin was pleasant . Followed cocktails with a Michell's Harris Sabre that was a very nice dry sparkling wine ($16.50). Total was $183 for 2. Time spent for lunch was ~ 2hours. Con: We started off with tap water but changed to a local sparkling water as we found the chlorinated water was unpleasant. I do not know why many restaurants do not filter their chlorinated water as it is such a simple thing to do. Maybe if you only drink it, it becomes unnoticeable. Seats were comfortable, table quite adequate size and lighting was good. Any noise dampened by carpet on floors. Toilets immaculate, bright and large. Looking to return at a future date with friends. High recommend this restaurant.More
We enjoy dining at Masons. The last two visits, with COVID restrictions, they served a wonderful and varied menu. Portions are generous and the dishes are well presented. I think they have outdone themselves. It was good value for money and we will definitely return.
The 3 of us went here for the 6 course lunch (including 11 year old daughter who loves trying different things). They don’t have a kids menu so nuggets and chips eaters will be disappointed but all 3 of us loved the array of food...on offer. I can see why this place can be so hard to get into! Professional and knowledgeable wait staff tended to our every need. This place will make us come back to Bendigo again!More
I couldn’t believe the 5-course menu at Masons for $80. Being from Melbourne, I wasn’t expecting the quality of food we got (for that price per head). It was so great to see the list of local producers they use (I think this adds to...the experience) and that they support them very proudly. The execution of each dish was absolutely gorgeous. My only gripe was one or two of the wines that were paired with the dishes. But only a minor gripe as it’s only $45 to add the paired wines with the dishes. For such good quality dishes, you’d be paying double in a hatted restaurant in Melbourne. Thanks Masons- such a beautiful and memorable evening. My favourite dish was the McIvor Farm pork scotch.More
Second visit to Masons and food and service just as good as first visit. Great to visit them after the lockdown. Would love them to move to Melbourne so we could visit more😊
Excellent food - fresh and skilfully made with emphasis on produce providers, attentive and diligent service made for a beautiful evening!
