When booking I advised that I have intolerance to garlic & onion.
I ordered the sirloin steak with a side of green & borlotti beans.
My steak arrived with both chive butter & roasted onion; I asked
the waiter to return my meal to the...kitchen. I was expecting a fresh meal to be cooked with an alternative offered to the onion etc, but instead the same steak was simply been sliced through & served on a fresh plate. The steak retained the taste of the chives, etc from the butter & there was so much gristle and fat that most of the meat was inedible. Two thirds of my meal was returned & no queries as to why I had not finished my meal. Not worth $62.00 AUD. The bean dish did not arrive; it was later explained that the order had not actually been put through with the main meal order - for which the waiter was apologetic.
When advised in advance that a diner cannot eat certain foods, the expectation is that a restaurant offers alternatives, not simply as those items crossed off the menu item or worse, just removed from the returned meal & merely re-plated (with the same tainted steak.)
For such an expansive liquor list, which is a feature on the website,they have a very limited cocktail list.
A very successful business that does a great trade with formulaic dishes & drinks devised for quick turnover & high profit margin.
Don't go on a hot night - the air-conditioning struggles to keep the place comfortably cool.More
