Average Person on the phone excellent Person at the cash register lacks customer service skills, number 1. don't talk back number 2. show some respect for the customer and accommodate their request, if i want to look at the pizza before i pay that is...my perogative I am the paying customer and i if i am paying $31 for a pizza with prosciutto and mushroom i want to see a healthy amount on my $31 pizza which re both items i did not see a healthy amount for $31 Yes it tasted nice and yes the pizza base was nice not great but nice i like it crunchier on the edges not too bready - Am i fed up with Wellingtonian leftist, brainwashed, woke, pc, extra sensitive, programmed easily offended people in NZ, who take everything personally and cannot understand that a paying customer does have rights!! And need to understand that a human being does have rights to give their opinion and thoughts intelligently and calmly, to give constructive criticism and that customers standing by need to mind their own business, and think before they speak??? I am a born Wellingtonian who resides overseas, and what i see in Wellington with most wellington residents is the above, and it is highly alarming and absolutely sickening and frustrating that kiwi's have become so sensitive and easily offended in a highly dysfunctional way, it is bizarre Now getting back to the reason for my review, I have learned through experience there are a lot of cheap nasty miserly food places whom do not comprehend the importance of providing quality customer service or quality food - the pizza was nice, not a pizza to rave about, but it was nice and enjoyable to eat, the arrogant who took my request as an offence at the cash register needed to go home and breathe lol :) There appears to be too many easily offended over defensive peep in Kiwi land and it is truly concerning and Overall though it was a nice pizza not great just nice, that i have no reason to complain, is it worth $31 no i don't think so - I look fwd to trying other pizza places however before i decide what is my go to pizza place :) ***Be reminded tho that customer service and quality of product go hand in hand that is the mix for success - Cheers!More

Hidden in the courtyard of the former Hannah's shoe factory, this pizzeria was recommended by Peter & Yen (Youtubers). With the scent from the spaceship like woodfire pizza oven taking over the restaurant we too decided to join the masses for a pizza. We were...welcomed by two friendly gentlemen who were helpful and engaging. We choose the "Calabrese" which are all handmade and cooked on mauka and it was delicious tasty & fresh. "When the chef is from the birthplace of Italian pizza Naples you know the pie is gonna be good" 23 years old and an abundance of awards they truly are the best authentic pizza artisans in New Zealand. There is only two tables and we were lucky to get one ~ and must when in WellingtonMore

They have a certificate posted that attests to their Neapolitano authenticity. We were in Naples this past September and Pizza Pomodoro’s is equal to the best you can find there. However, they go a giant step beyond with their WCF Calzone for dessert. They combine...the best chocolate from the nearby Wellington Chocolate Factory with their pizza dough to produce a chocolate nirvana deliziosa.More

I haven't had pizza this good since Naples. This is exactly as they make it in Italy. Margherita is a no brainer here - simple is best! Perfect chewy crust, it took me straight back to the streets of Napoli! Thanks for a perfect meal....I you're in Wellington, absolutely check these guys out.More

The most delicious gluten free base I’ve ever had and really good toppings but the staff clearly have zero processes in place to even minimise gluten cross contamination. The website says not suitable for coeliacs as there may be cross contamination but lots of places...say that but have multiple process to at least try to avoid this. I’d say not suitable for anyone except people who just choose not to eat gluten. As I was walking out with my pizza I heard the staff joking that my pizza wasn’t really gluten free (they thought I was out of earshot) which really should have warned me but I’d already paid and am poor so I decided to risk it as I’m not coeliac. Wish I hadn’t because I spent the next few hours in extreme pain which only happens to me when I eat more than ‘trace amounts’ of gluten. Summary: delicious pizza, highly recommend, just don’t go if you are gluten free.More

Without a doubt, this is the best Pizza in Wellington if not in NZ with an amazingly friendly staff. Real Italian style pizza with a fantastic dough and REAL fresh tomato sauce. Will always go back when I'm down in Wellington. Not a place to...stay, only a few chairs but perfect for taking away. Excellent pizza to show you why $5 pizza is really different!!!!!!More

The pizza was so tasty! A very good dough. Found this place through TripAdvisor and was as good as I expected. A little restaurant in a inner courtyard. A little bit tricky to find. Only two tables to sit in. You can take a way...a pizza and take cable car up to the botanical garden and enjoy the view.More

Delicious thin crust pizza! I had the Margherita pizza, and it was perfect! There are two small tables to sit at and eat there if you want, but seems to be more popular as a take-away place! Overall, plenty of classic and special pizzas to...choose from! Yum!More

Really delicious pizza but Pizza Pomodoro is really just a take out place. There are two small tables at which you can perch but that's it. Nonetheless, if you're in the mood for pizza definitely stop by and pick up a pie!
