Very good coffee! Stopped here for b’fast - poached eggs; mushrooms on to east with egg. All very good. Pleasant staff - slightly officious but let’s call it efficient. Not the cheapest but well priced for the quality.

Great coffee ,great food. Had an issue with one meal but was sorted by amazing wait staff. Flat white sampler tray was awesome
Yummy food and awesome friendly service. It is busy so you must book. We had a group of eight and all the dishes were delicious. Highly recommend
Booked online for breakfast as their website clearly shows the opening time as 7am on weekends and it allowed me to make an online reservation. Turned up at 7.15am to be told they open at 8am and was gaslit by the staff as if it...was my fault it was allowed to happen, that they only open at that time during the week. We've eaten our way around WLG this week and this is the only bad experience we've had. Didn't bother to wait until they opened.More
Ok, so there is no doubt that some people find this place ok. However the coffee we ordered (2 caps and 2 flat whites) were nothing special - in fact they were ordinary. Putting aside the unique flavor of the coffee bean that was for...a Particular taste - the coffee was Luke warm. Just nowhere near the standard you’d expect.More
We caught up with a friend for brunch and they took us straight to The Hangar. Great coffee - just what we needed to set us up for a day of sightseeing. Brunch was great - the bacon butty and mushrooms on toast were delicious....Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.More
Incredible coffee!! Enjoyed the Flat White tasting paddle - flavours of the 3 (1 blend, 2 single origins) were divine. Very cool little place - food also delicious. Can see why it’s a favourite ❤️
I am not an expert-coffee, but the Hangar is delivering an amazing and tasty coffee with a sublime presentation. Love it!
We are a french canadian couple who travelled around New Zealand for 2 years. We tried a lot of cafes like a LOT. The hangar is for sure 1 of our favorite. The food was great. For coffee lovers, they have a lot of diversity...of coffee beans around the world. And also they got some special expresso , flat white tasting. You feel like you're having a special treatment when you enter here! The employees are amazing. Smiling , good attitude, we feel like they enjoy their job. A big thumbs to Nico for contagious smile and energy. And also Jamie for taking time with us for coffee recommandation. REALLY nice guy! So yeah 5/5 ! MUST TRY if you are in Wellington.More
Coffee heaven for afficionados and others - hangar doesn t judge. or quibble with your preferences. good staff, well-executed food ( i had the truffled eggs: luscious and lovely, though the curly kale in the tasty wilted green side was just teetering on the edge...of tough/fibrous: note to kitchen 🙃) definitely enjoyable - thank you!More
Great bubbly staff pleasure coffee and food as well as to worship your belly Ecstasy moment just keep calm and enjoy your coffee
The cafe lived up to its good reviews, a characterful spot with great food We had the Mediterranean Benedict with sun dried tomatoes and olives and the Parsnip Hash, both meals were tasty and excellent with great presentation. The cafe tends to be noisy, which...can be said to be a good atmosphere! Good service, will go again.More
Would definitely come back again! We came for breakfast. The burrito was amazing! Not your average breakfast burrito. Huge coffee and coffee-alternative menu. Really enjoyed it
First time but not the last time. We were grateful to find the Hangar open in Good Friday when so may others were not. Bright clean location with staff that looked happy to be there. Coffee was hot and strong. I had the porridge which...had a hint of peanut butter. A generous serve, a little finer than the wholegrain goodness we eat at home but still yummy. Darling had the house made crumpet. It was more like a cross between a scone and a pancake but she enjoyed it very much. Took some sweet muffins away with us which we had for afternoon tea. Delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat.More
Great atmosphere! They take their coffee very seriously and the food is fresh, good value with nice flavours and fair portion size. The service was friendly. Definitely be returning here.
