Great staff but menu is very average and food has no wam factor. I had the Eye Fillet worse eye fillet dish I have ever had.

Great tasty food for lunch - we enjoyed sharing our plates. They offer over 100 different types of Gin, which can at first appear overwhelming. But the waiter and bar staff are very helpful. Just tell them what style of Gin you like, and they...will guide you. Ordered the Graham Norton pink gin - soo good. And all the gins come with Fever Tree tonic waters, perfect match. Just the perfect place for our lunch, washed down with some fine gin. Definitely will go back next time in Napier.More

It was a great night from the retro music playing on the screens to the choices of gin. The food was amazing, perfectly cooked steak and nice not to have chips thrown in with it. Beautiful tiramasu. Friendly, helpful staff. All in all well worth a...visit.More

Can’t go if U18 without parents. I am a coach of a girls school hockey team wanting to go to dinner for a prizegiving. When the girls called and booked they did not mention that EVERYONE needs to be under 18 if not supervised by...parents/caregivers. We were turned away at the door. And had a better evening (service/meals) next door @ speights ale house.More

Hi Kelsey, Thanks for the review. We would have loved to host your group that night but unfortunately the law is the law. Glad you enjoyed your night regardless.

Really disappointing visit. Table booked for 9 people at 6.30pm and we all ordered main courses which took 2 hours to arrive!!!! No communication and no apology for the delay. Everyone's meal was very average at best and the fish plate for 2 was missing...the salmon. The waitress did bring some smoked fish out but it certainly wasn't salmon. Some of our group foolishly ordered desert which took 40 minutes to arrive and again was very average and quite expenses. The best thing about the evening was the gin selection which we all enjoyed. Communication regarding delays would have helped to placate us but we all left feeling really unhappy with our experience. I mentioned this when we paid and was told the kitchen was "really under the pump this evening". Not a great excuse for a Saturday evening. Great location and cool decor.More

Hi Daydream, thanks for taking the time to write this review. Glad you enjoyed aspects of your evening. Your meals did take longer than ideal as they were just on an hour but in no way was there a 2 hour wait on your meals....More

I have eaten out a lot when I come to Napier and this is my new favourite. A great meal - eye fillet followed by apple tart. This was beautiful. Great menu, highly recommended

The food was good but the service was slow. We sat outside on the deck which was nice. Unfortunitly when we went inside to pay we found out that they have a Gin tasting tray but this wasnt on the menu anywhere nor did we...get advised by the wait staff. For a Gin bar pretty basic and very very small Gin cocktail list so that was dissapointing.More
