From the moment you enter the doors of The Grove, you know you are in for a wonderful experience. The decor is beautiful and the staff is eager to please. They take the time to verify your dietary needs and do an exceptional job describing...each course. The food was amazing and perfectly presented. Highly recommend for a dining experience you will never forget.More

Great fine dining experience. Very intime atmosphere, very thoughtful menu and staff is amazing. Products are regional and you can feel how fresh and good they are. Really an incredible work.

Very much enjoyed our meals. The food was innovative and even quirky (e.g nitrogen frozen edible flower petals with lemon sorbet) but all delicious. Service was first class with engaging, friendly and professional staff 👍

A beautiful atmosphere, wonderful employees, and outstanding food! Andrea provided us with the most amazing wine matches, and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing dinner.

We had a lovely, excellent, delicious dinner experience. The chef's creativity is at the top and the staff is completely dedicated to make your culinary experience an unforgettable one. We learnt a lot about New Zealand cuisine and, specially, about the different paired wines. The...sommelier is highly knowledgeable and enjoys sharing with you all the fine details about the wines you are about to drink. I highly recommend The Grove for a top end gastronomic experience in Auckland.More

We booked The Grove for the last night of our 3 week trip in New Zealand which also happened to be our anniversary. We have eaten in quite a few Michelin star restaurants in the UK and read that The Grove was of a similar...standard so we were really excited to try it. Overall, the food was very good, however we felt the experience lacked detail. For instance, the staff were all really nice but lacked knowledge of the provenance of the menu - they could tell us the beef came from New Zealand but not where in New Zealand - not even if it was from the north or South Island. We also did not have a menu on the table so didn’t know which course was coming next and therefore which wine to order as we weren’t doing the wine flight. It was unclear what the story was behind the menu - why choose those dishes, what’s important to the chef/owner, what is their USP? I am pregnant and the staff were fab at reassuring me of an altered menu to suit my current dietary requirements, but I had a crayfish served which was very undercooked and wasn’t supposed to be one of the dishes I couldn’t eat. However when I mentioned this, it was immediately taken away and replaced with another which was cooked through. I think this was just an unfortunate event - even more so because I’m pregnant! As I say, this is us being critical based on experiences we’ve had in the UK. The food was good and the staff were very attentive, however we’d just have enjoyed a bit more information about what makes The Grove so special and why we should tell others to go - afterwards, I’m unsure if I’d recommend it or not when taking the cost into consideration.More

Coming from the USA, I have been fortunate to have been able to dine at The Grove many times. Once again, they hit a home run. The tasting menu, ambience, and service were over the top. If New Zealand had Michelin stars, The Grove would...be at the top of the list. This is not to miss dining experience in Auckland.More

Truly a can’t-miss restaurant in the fine dining category if you’re in Auckland. Though my experience with restaurants of this caliber is limited to just a few places, I strongly agree with the critics and reviewers who have launched the grove into the top-10-best restaurants...in the world. The food is delicious, playfully presented, and plenty interesting for those (not so much like me) who crave an “intellectual” restaurant experience. The service is outstanding and the team at the Grove finds wonderful ways of making the meal personal (I won’t spoil their typical tricks to achieve this, which are lovely, but shout out to the owner for discussing baseball with me for a few minutes!). The wine offerings are exceptional, as you’d expect, but particularly impressive given what’s involved in importing wines from all over the world to NZ - the somm team at the Grove is world class and it shows. Overall a meal we’ll remember just about as long as we live!More

Went here for my 30th Birthday, the service was out of this world. They substituted for my husband allergy no problem. At the end I received a surprise dessert with a lit candle with a signed birthday card. No words can describe this experience. Also,...my husband cried after tasting their main course steak. Divine food. Recommend!More

Had the 8 course tasting menu, and it was superb. A mix of locally sourced ingredients presented in ingenious manner. The service was excellent, as the staff explained each and every course in detail and were patient answering all of our questions. It should also...be noted that the timing was perfect: just enough time between courses to savor and enjoy, and not feel that we were being hurried along.More
