Freshly made authentic tasting dishes, clean and unpretentious setting, friendly staff, attentive owner and host. My son prefers their sushi than the many others we have been to. We went here as the chinese restaurant next door we were planning on going to was closed. The food was nice and the waiters were kind. I was however made to feel a bit uncomfortable by who I assume was the manager/owner, staring at us...the whole time, particularly since I can't use chopsticks I felt quite judged! I don't think he meant anything by it, but it was just quite an uncomfortable experience.More

We found this place by chance and so glad we did. Although we didn’t have a reservation, and they were busy we were found 2 places by the bar where we enjoy watching them prepare the food (Loved watching the sushi being done). Our was...prepared and served in good time without us being rushed. It was delicious. The service was excellent. Would not hesitate to eat here again.More

My family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Haru. We ordered a combination of Japanese and Korean dishes. We were all very happy. Friendly owner and staff, fast service. Wish they had desserts tho’ but we will be back 😊

This place has been here for 2 years & is a quiet secret in the suburbs! There is no decor or atmosphere but the food is fresh & tasty with a variety of a mix of Sushi & other Japanese cuisine that is both tasty,...different & easy on the palette. A definite re visit on the cards 👍🏼More

This is a gem of a restaurant; beautifully appointed, good attention from the owner which was useful for us as first time Japanese cuisine partakers, except for sushi,which we know and love. The sushi starter, was the best I have ever eaten as were the...chicken dumplings - quite delicious. Followed by a donburi and a katsu, which we chose to get an authentic Japanese experience. They do not have a licence, so you are welcome to bring your own wine, with no cockage.More

This is a gem of a restaurant. Easily the best sushi I have had in Cape Town in a very long time. Exceptional quality. Such generous filling in the sushi which is sadly hard to find these days. Fresh and tasty. I cannot wait to...go back to sample the rest of the menu.More
