By far our favourite meal whilst travelling around the area this week, definitely worth a visit. Great menu and our choices were exceptional, the belly pork being the star of the show. Excellent service, friendly staff and fantastic if you’re bringing your dog along. You’ll...be surprised where they keep the gravy bones !More

Welcoming host and staff who looked after us very well. We had superb food, all freshly cooked and great quality. Couldn't ask for a nicer evening. It was a brilliant venue for a special meal. The prices were high, but reasonable considering the excellent quality...and portion sizes. The one thing that did surprise us was it was £7 for Guinness 0.0 - I wouldn't have ordered one if I'd known, and didn't think to ask at the point of ordering as that is unexpectedly high. We will be returning now we have discovered this lovely pub.More

Hi Livvy, Thank you so much for your lovely review. I note your comment about Guinness 0%, I know it seems expensive, but the cost to us is the same as Guinness extra cold, one minor point, the drinks price list is on the table...More

A random visit to The Moody Cow (we're passing through) proved to be a wise decision. Great decor with a warm ambiance was topped off by a team that were politely professional and committed to providing excellent service. On a recommendation we both went for...the Beef, Mushroom & Ale pie... What a pie! The pastry was just exquisite. Not a sign of a soggy bottom. The filling was light and flavourful and there was plenty of it. Accompanied by hand cut chips that were light and fluffy, this was a well prepared and presented dish that left us feeling contently full rather than over stuffed. An absolute gem of a pub. Highly RecommendedMore

A tasty meal, freshly cooked with generous portions. Friendly, efficient staff and a welcoming mine host. Although it was fairly quiet when we arrived, it soon became very busy. We felt that the prices were higher than we expected, although the food was good.More

First experience at the Moody Cow - amazing. We were there for Sunday Lunch. When I booked, the pub was full but we were offered the gazebo. What a great little find. Could not have been nicer. The day was very warm and it was...the coolest place to sit. And because my friends and I were on our own, we could talk and laugh without disturbing anyone or being disturbed. The food was GREAT!!!! Staff were very attentive and friendly. If I am ever in Ross again, this is definitely the place to go to.More

It is a rare thing indeed to find a pub that has really hospitable staff, excellent food and great service, but this pub has it all. Even though they were busy, the staff were really kind and attentive, and the food was outstanding. Whilst fish...& chips is a stalwart favourite, it can be a disappointment; not here; it was delicious. The ribs, were heaven in a dish. The wine as well was superb. All in all, one of the best pub experiences I have had, and this is a must visit place; Please go; you will thank me.More

We stopped off here for a pub lunch and we were not disappointed. First thing that’s needs to be said is the customer service is unparelelled. It’s rare these days to find a restaurant or pub that makes you feel welcome by every member of...staff and even the owner. Then there’s the food. The ribs were the best we’ve ever had, whatever is in that secret sauce is magic! The chips were homemade and perfectly seasoned and the garlic bread was the perfect addition to the dish. The fish and chips were equally as amazing, lightly battered fish with minted mushy peas and the homemade chips - one of the best pub fish and chips we’ve had to date. And then to finish we had the Raspberry Creme Brûlée and the vegan raspberry tart, which was the perfect end to an already perfect meal. If you’re looking for a pub that’ll leave you with smiles on your face and satiated tastebuds, you need to try the Moody Cow.More

We have been here before and loved it, and so chose The Moody Cow as the place to celebrate my 60th birthday with a group of 12. We had a really lovely time. Chris has clearly got a like-minded team of people who really looked...after us all in an attentive, and friendly way. The food was excellent for both the meat-eaters and vegetarians - I had the simple-sounding, yet really sublime cheese tart. Others loved the burgers, salmon, soup and fab deserts - and everyone was totally happy. It's great to eat such excellent quality food and cuisine. We will be back soon.More

We didn't have Sunday lunch, on the whole the prices are reasonable, it's not cheap, thank goodness. It's quality and you have to pay for that.
