Very nice menu. We has an Eisbein, Prawn & Avo Salad, Brauhaus burger and Kids cheese burger. All was good except the Eisbein. Not done the traditional crispy way so a total let down. Facilities are very good and clean. Little shop is also a...must. The bought the Bratwurst Boerewors and braaied it at home. It is really great.More

Very disappointed in the cuisine. German names but no German food! Sad! One teaspoon of sauerkraut with food, spatzle not one spatzle! Very sad. Not coming back!

Great place but worst manager ever. He swore in my face for asking to charge my phone and treated our table bad the whole night

What a disaster! First evening new menu we both ordered their German specialities, Esbein and pork belly. No comment. Don't go. So disappointed. And the restaurant was empty... I understand why....

I have visited the venue for the new parkrun. That went very well, but then we went and sit down to order food and beer. The service were terrible, and we had to get a waiter attention by waving at him for service, while he...was standing about 5-8m from us. We were 4 people at the table, we ordered beer, and my wife was driving so she wanted a latte. Waiter told to get up and go buy it for herself inside the venue somewhere. She came back without it---inside they told her to find a waiter and order with him..??? Then it became time for the breakfast, it was ala carte-style breakfast, i went to the first container which was eggs, scrambled, i then asked the server if he would so kind and fry me two eggs please, he said no, i must eat the scramble eggs or leave it. We guess what we left, and all four of us turned around and walked away. So we paid for the drinks and left. They probably won't care about the money lost. We drove about 10km back on the freeway and stop and had a awesome breakfast at another venue with brilliant service to boot.More

Impressive building, nice terasse tp sit on, beautiful view & a inviting menue card. The beers were very tasty & the food was excellent. The service was a bit slow due to the staff confused on who does what. The opening hours are a bit...dissapointing. They close on Sundays at 3pm. That is when most of town would come out there. All in all a nice experience & a great memory.More

This is the perfect outing for Gautengers! Take the drive toward Rustenburg and spend some quality time at Brauhaus Afrika. This microbrewery and German restaurant is always worth the visit. Traditional German food and beer - and well-priced to boot. We love this place!

Lovely ambiance due to the setting and revamped decor but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Somehow the chef manages to turn out burgers which are rock hard and the complete opposite of juicy. Also served cold three out of three. The schnitzel...is also dry but at least the eisbein never disappoints.More

I’ve been to the area many times in the last couple of years and I also know the old “Brauhaus am Damm” But now it’s under new management with the name “Brauhaus Afrika”. The beer was always great and hasn’t lost a drop of quality...after the takeover. But know you could find a even bigger arrangement of beers, including Kölsch, Märzen etc...as a German myself I can truly say, that I wish more German beers these days would be like here! Test bestanden! ;) The food on the other hand has improved massively! Mostly local from neighbouring Flintbeck Farm, it’s a great mix between German and African styles! After bloody COVID I’m more than happy to come back! And of course, the view still remains beautiful as ever!More

Overall it really wasn’t bad, service was excellent and the food was good. The thing that upsets me is that with the new management the menu is bare. The unique cocktails have gone, no crackling on the menu, the dark ale my husband enjoyed has...been replaced and there really aren’t many options. I’d still go, it’s beautiful there, but I think they should work on some variety in their menu.More

We ordered a beer tasting tray. The farmer's draught blew our minds. The setting is lovely and the service from the waiters is very good. Very happy with the selection of beers! They play German music all day which was nice and unique. On the...downside - menu sucks. Barely anything German about it. We took the cold meat platter which could be renamed the "pick n pay cold meat selection for R120". They brought the mains one minute after our starters, while we were still eating it! My medium-rare steak was actually well-done biltong. The food was disappointing and the manager argued with us about our opinion rather than take the criticism in good faith.More
