With just a strip of tar separating you from the rocks, sand and sea, the deck of Kidds Beach Tea Room is probably as close as you can legally get to the ocean during lockdown level 3 :) Menu is limited but enough choice for...all. Prices are competitive. Good service from Aaron. Food was tasty enough.More

Akhona was great! And we had a great time bringing our laptops and having a work day with the best vibe, some drinks and good food!

My husband and I live in America and have family in East London and Kidd's Beach. We have dined at "The Tea Room" numerous times on our visits! Everytime it is Outstanding! The views make your heart melt and the food makes your mouth melt!...Good menu, reasonably priced. The staff treats you like family and it has a causual kind vibe. Indoor outdoor seating in a simple elegant beachy style, and a small bar overlooking the ocean makes it our favorite spot!More

Lovely home cooked meal of pork chops , mash, peas & gravy. Even had apple sauce. Followed by sticky chocolate puffing with cream.

We had the best night at The Tea Room for dinner. The menu was great. Starters of variety of salads with seafood such as mussels, prawns and fish bites. The rest of the menu was delicious. Service was good and hosts Andre and Colleen were...amazing. All our meals there were very pleasant, great tasting food, lovely staff. Highly recommended.More

We decided to share our best kept secret with our greater Vaalie family, we were 8 for Sunday lunch. The place was packed but Andre and the front of house excelled. Be patient folks it's not everyday that all seats are taken. Enjoy the view...that's why you came here. Everyone had something different and all enjoyed their meals and drinks. Great value for money. The staff sang happy birthday in English and Xhosa, what a vibe!More

My wife and I visited Kidd’s Beach as an overnight stop on our way back home from Plett. We chose to eat at the Tea Room as we had passed it on our way into the town. Unfortunately it was raining, so the view was...not perfect, in good conditions it must be amazing. My wife’s pasta and my Prego Chicken were both excellent. The wine list was very decent. To make matters even better, the prices were very reasonable. I can recommend the Tea Room!More

I had an hour to kill and didn't want to spend it sitting in the airport, so thought I'd go and watch the sea for a while. How surprised I was to find this little gem. I only had a coffee milkshake which was great...but this is a large restaurant with inside and outside seating and a great looking menu.More

Basically the only gig in town but very poorly managed. Good fresh fish but sloppy chips & perhaps the most uninspired side salad this year. Really...salads have become such a feature that there is no excuse!
