Reasonable food at reasonable prices.

Been there a few times now, mostly on a Sunday and unfortunately the service has usually been terribly slow. Last time like an hour an 20 min, which is unacceptable.Stay away from the cheese burgers as they are not very nice at all. Besides that the staff were very friendly but obviously under sever pressure from a battling kitchen. Besides the burgers the food has on the whole been pretty good and we will no doubt return, although not on a Sunday as they clearly cant cope with the extra tables.

Sunday Lunch

We were delighted to have an excellent, well prepared and delicious three course lunch at Breakers. The waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient. Every single item ordered was prepared to perfection, cooked as required, expertly garnished and served speedily. This truly is a fantastic restaurant and is amazingly good value for money. I have eaten here several times before and have always been impressed by the food and service. Highly recommended.

Best food experience in Uvongo

We went on a Sunday evening and had a wonderful food experience. On Sundays they serve a three course meal with a huge variety of options for starter, main course and desert. All the dishes were freshly prepared and well presented. For example, for our main courses we had the calamari and chicken and prawn curry respectively which was really a culinary experience. We would definitely go back when we are in the vicinity.

Terrible service

Decided to visit Breakers as it was near accommodation. I thought because the restaurant is in a small village that the service would be delightfully friendly and warm. Unfortunately it was the complete opposite. I got the feeling the waiters who passed my table were doing me a favour by assisting me and taking my order. when it's time to pay they are very quick to hand you the bill and PLUS look for a tip for their bad service. When the waitress who handed me the bill did not get a sufficient amount for a tip she throw the card and receipt at me. The food was average and had to wait over 1.15 hour. I would not recommend this place and would advise to drive further out and find another restaurant.

Well worth a visit for the quality food

Best quality food we've eaten in Margate so far on our holiday. Sole was exceptional and the steak on a skillet with blue cheese sauce was faultless. Kids polished their food but failed to finish their deserts !

This restaurant is accessible for a wheelchair. There is 1 step into the restaurant but many willing hands to help. They are quit but I don't think that good service would not continue when busy. The menu was varied which catered for our different tastes. The outlook at the moment is onto road works so we enjoyed relaxing out of the car. There is an outside are which I think would be great in the evening. Helpings are quite big and beautifully cooked. I had the seafood trio and one friend had the spareribs which the kitchen cut into individual ribs for her.

We went for the views but were pleasantly surprised by the food . Our waiter was friendly and efficient . We went for the fish and calamari combo . The fish was excellent but we found the crumbed calamari a little dry for our tastes . Overall we would certainly go back

Friends booking. On arrival we ordered a drink and then waited and waited and waited. Nobody at front desk. Nobody interested to take our order. Luckily I caught the eye of the lady and signal her can we please order. We ordered,... at that time a gentleman also walked in and was looking around for service. He was attended to first and the our table. We waited too long for our order. The meals looked tasty, the aircon did not work, there was a irritating fly all around our table, we opened the windows to let it out, and enjoy a breeze as the ceiling fan string looked out of order and the fan was hardly turning. Food was good but too expensive for what you get, overall not a pleasant experience.

Delicious food Monday lunch

A perfect Monday lunch. We haven't been there in years and it's looking lovely! Clean bathrooms and restaurant, simple and effective decor. Looks great! The restaurant was quiet and we were one of two tables. This was an absolute bonus as the service was efficient and the waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We all ordered different starters and different main meals. Each one was delicious! Compliments to the chefs.

What a treat in Uvongo

I have lived in margate for 25 years and I've never been here ,I always heard good reviews so I decided to try it a few days ago .What great food I must say . I live internationally and found this place very welcoming and friendly . The staff are so good and they offer a good variety on the menu . I will defiantly return and will highly recommend it to any one wanting a good meal .

My family and I were looking for a place to have dinner and ended up at the Breakers, as most places closed early. I was a little apprehensive when I saw the location and facade, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food even better. 👌

Awesome Restaurant in Uvongo KZN

A really AWESOME restaurant !!! Best Cheese Burger and Creme Brulee ever !!! 🤩🤩🤩 Service outstanding and one of the best menu's ever !! Excellent variety of wines, gins, cocktails ect. Really loved it, you the deserve 5 ⭐️ Rating 😉

Our visit in December was just as good as always even though there was load shedding at the time they still managed to put out an excellent meal and all* of us ate very well we will definitely return in August

We were having a break from Cape Town winter and where pleasantly surprised by this eatery mw wife and I both had Monk fish very well prepared and delicious, my wife says the chocolate mouse is" to die for will will be back in December."
