We enjoy walks along the canal and have popped in here on occasion. Our latest, and last, time was typical and why we will not bother again. We wanted to have a drink and a light meal. However the emphasis is very much on pre-booked...More

Nice menu with plenty of choice, nothing fancy just nice pub grub. Lovely views on a beautiful autumn day. I would imagine in the summer the experience would be very different. Reasonable prices, good service with pleasant staff.

A welcome revisit but sadly without the jazz band this time. A lovely setting with views over the canal, more restaurant than pub, you get seated and your order is taken. We shared a baked camembert and had to order extra bread to cope with...More

Whilst our meal was ok we felt let down by the incredibly slow service. This wouldn’t have felt as bad if we’d been warned of possible delays. We’d happily visit Foxton Locks again but are more likely to try one of the nearby establishments.

Sat in conservatory for lunch with view over canal junction. Pleasant surroundings, efficient and friendly service, good choice of food from baguettes to light bites and full meals. Some imaginative meals, different to the usual pub menus, some unusual vegetarian dishes. All food tasted great,...More

We had a lovely meal here on a friday evening in October. It was quiet, but the staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. Definitely recommend the liver, bacon and mash.
