I went there few years ago, but because of the curfew, I couldn't experience the full tasting menu. This "funny"time being behind us, I decided to take the opportunity of the winter special to come back and fully experience... That was great from start to...end. The service is excellent and the staff explains well in details what you gonna eat, even though you cannot picture it before it comes due to the super creativity of the chef... The Boerewors roll is the perfect example for that!More

We had been to Homespun in Blouberg a few years ago. We were surprised by the quality of the food and the "casual" atmosphere. When we discovered during our last stay in Cape Town that a Homespun restaurant had also opened in Claremont, we didn't...hesitate for a moment and immediately booked a table. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we immediately noticed that this was a completely different atmosphere than in Blouberg. In Claremont there a lack of atmosphere. But we were looking forward to dinner. We had seen online that there were two types of dinners: Chef's Odyssey menu and a reduced menu. In the restaurant we were only offered the Chef's Odyssey menu. So we assumed that the reduced menu was no longer applicable. We were therefore unpleasantly surprised when it turned out that almost all other tables around us had the reduced menu. Inquiries taught us that we were not offered that reduced menu because the chef prefers you to order the Odyssey menu. This was the order for the staff! We were very displeased and have also let it be known. Evening ruined. Too bad, but we cannot recommend Homespun.More

A wonderful experience - delicious food, interesting wines, superb service and reasonable value. The food was unique in textures, flavours and presentation with a touch of theatre. The "boerewors roll" was a wonderful surprise

A sublime dining experience. The food was superbly crafted with artistic presentation and surprise. We had the 8 course tasting menu and every layer was perfection. The boerewors roll was my favorite bit everything else was a close second. Perfect service and lovely ambience. Beautiful...eveningMore

We were at Homespun at the Andros for my husbands birthday dinner last week and were absolutely amazed. Amazed with the food and amazed that we hadn't heard of this restaurant before. We have dined at all the big names, La Colombe, Fyn, Waterside, Belly...of the Beast, Chefs Warehouse etc and Homespun really does fit in the same street. The element of surprise (the boerewors roll) was wonderful! We have booked again for next week lunch and i'm already looking forward to it!More

My wife and i had such a wonderful dining experience for our last dinner of the year. The NYE menu was so well concocted by the chef, starting from the choice of products, to the food plating and finally the taste and flavours. The experience...in a whole was well thought-of and a real cuisine discovery. Our waiter Daniel assisted us with such a good service. He is very knowledgeable about each dish and is very well mannered. We were very impressed by him. We hope to come back again one day !More

I've had the privilege to enjoy fine dining at many of the top rated restaurants in Cape Town and indeed in many capitals around the world. Our experience at Homespun (family birthday) ranks amongst our most enjoyable and impressive ever! The ambiance, decor, service and...of course the food are exceptional. We were delightfully surprised by the creativity in the presentation and preparation of each course. This restaurant is on a par with the best of the best Cape Town has to offer and I've already made another reservation to spoil some dear friends in a few week's time.More

Our family of four had dinner at Homespun last night for my birthday! What a wonderful treat! The decor exudes opulence with a wonderful happy casual ambience. We loved it. We had the three course menu which gives one a great choice of flavours ....The food was both exceptionally innovative and tasty with a small amount of "theatre" on the table bringing it all together. Our waiter JP was friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable and all in all everyone was obliging offering good service. Thank you!More

Both Homespun restaurants are extremely great. Their staff are well trained and professional. The meals are sensational and it is near impossible to select a favourite as each course leaves one with a new favourite. This is an exceptional restaurant and I have not yet...been to another of this standard.More

We had the 7 course taster menu with wine pairing. Lots of special effects and the food was great. Glad we tried the wine pairing but if I went again would probably just do the good tasting and stick with a bottle of wine.

A very disappointing experience at the bar here. Firstly, they don’t serve any snack (olives, nuts) but the main issue was I was recommended a glass of wine. I took a sip but didn’t like it so I asked for another and the barman insisted...(having supposedly consulted with the manager) that I should be charged for both. I find this really poor and led me to recognised booking a stay for family at the Andros Hotel where the bar/restaurant is situated.More

I visited Homespun at the Andros last Friday evening and was honestly blown away by the experience. The tasting menu was divine, varied, and fantastically put together. The waiting staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging. Fantastic veggie tasting option with unusual flavours that worked well...together - who doesn't love Daikon. Such a versatile ingredient. If I had to pick one fault, it would be that the 7-course menu did not leave us feeling full, as the portions are very small, but it was worth it for the incredible food and setting. A must for any visitor to Cape Town!More
