Kiddies haven restaurant

Situated in Melville area. Vibrant restaurant with excellent attention for kids whilst you have a meal indoors or outdoors. Off street parking. Delicious meal options. Reasonable prices. Comfortable and spacious. Fires for cold days. Friendly staff and an activities program. Lovely Family restaurant with childminders and a play area, for breakfast, lunch or dinner with a fusion menu.

Nice but dirty and not so welcoming

The place is not very clean, especially the many teddy bears, which are very dirty. In addition, the nannies were not nice to my son. They proposed activities to other kids but not to mine and told him to tidy things in the small house downstairs but after they threw away the cans through the windows. This happened on Friday early afternoon. The staff looks under monitored or overseen.

Good food

Great meal at a decent price. I ordered the tandoorichicken bowl, which was a good portion, super delicious, and a power smoothie to accompany. The service staff was attentive and polite.

Great for families with small children

Nice food with great, safe entertainment for toddlers and preteens. The food prices are okay and children are well looked after. Parking is very limited and the surrounding area not always in great shape, but safe inside. They have an interesting holiday program during December holidays.

Great place for families

Took my niece there for brunch and it was well worth the drive. The activities for kids are endless and cater to a variety of age groups. The child minders are attentive and quick to act so that is comforting so you can enjoy your meal. I was definitely impressed with their attention to detail from access/exit control to keep children safe, all the way down to smaller tables alongside “adult” tables for the kids to have their own space. Will definitely come back. This time with more nieces and nephews in tow!

Lunch with the family

We went for lunch and had a few kids with us and this was out first time and what a surprise Bambanani gave the parents to have a peaceful lunch and don't had a worry about the kids they were very safe playing and had fun. The food was very good and the service. Will definite go back.

Game changer

Arrived today from LA via Dubai. Needless to say we were a bit out of sorts even with a 3 hour naps. Bambanani’s changed our next 3 days. The neighborhood is amazing even with our 5 year old trying to severely injure himself across the street for a few hours. So here we are on a hopping Saturday night and we try a few places in Melville that aren’t too loud until we remembered our driver Matthew’s suggestion. We originally sat at an indoor table by the LEGO table and thought we found a great place. Then little man explored and found the “fun and play” structure. (Son’s name for it). The best!!! Free WiFi, great food, drink options. Honestly California could use a few pointers here. Should have mentioned this first but too exited. The employees really treat the kids with respect and appear to enjoy their jobs which I rarely see is a kid friendly environment. I honestly can’t say more positive things about this experience and if you stop by in the next few Days you’ll probably find us here. There are more things, but come by on your own to discover. Someone had a vision and really made this come true. Well done.

Kids heaven

We came here to see what it was all about with my 1 yr old little girl and my 3 nieces(11yrs, 10yrs and 4 yrs old). Well they had the BEST time ever. There is soft play and a small jungle gym with ball pit for the little kids... Even my 1 yr old... And then a small make shift play shop, with a 4 storey jungle gym!!!! There's a marvelous shop that sells all different types of beautiful puzzles and a Lego room with a PlayStation. It was quite refreshing tho to see that more kiddies were interested in being on the jungle gym than on the PlayStation. The food is fantastic and service is top class. They have activities twice a day for the kids and childminders who care for the kids like their own. What a fantastic day out. Safe, secure and FUN!!!

Great Family place with tasty food and good ambience

Very good family place with loads of things to do for children who can play and do their own things, there are people who keep a watch on them too. Food is tasty too with good veggie options, enjoyed our salads, soups and not mention special treats for children. Nice place to go and chill with big groups too....

Good food at good speed and kids friendly

We have visited Bambanani several times over the past 5 years and food and service remains good. Kids love the games area and playground. The kids had chicken nuggets and bolognese and they enjoyed both. We tried the pizza and thai and also enjoyed it. Lemon Meringue was a bit too sweet for us, but if you love condensed milk .... this is the cake you'll enjoy.

Great place for kids

We took our grandchild to Bambonani and she really enjoyed all the activities. The personnel looking after the kids was very friendly and helpfull. We had breakfast and the food was excellent.

Celebrating a trip

Ten of us celebrated our travel to South Africa at this restaurant and what a way to leave Johannesburg. Service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their food. From pizza to pasta, from pancakes to steak everyone either cleaned their plates or took the rest home. Parents will be excited about the huge playground in back for the children too.
