We had an amazing dinner at Café Picobella on Monday night. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the pasta is half price on a Monday and their pizza is half price on a Wednesday. It was so easy accessing the venue with free secure parking outside. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service fantastic.

Popular Melville Trattoria with real Italian cuisine! Conveniently located in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. Secure parking directly in front of the entrance. Decor and setting have an Italian ambience. Serving staff were welcoming and attentive. Good variety of choice in meals. Sitting outside on the terrace for lunch, we enjoyed the Pasta Alfredo; Insalata Halloumi & Pepper Rosso (vegetarian) and Calamari Ripieni. Exceptional flavouring and fresh ingredients made the meal taste homemade. Will visit again.

The owners of Lucky Bean Guesthouse recommended Cafe Picobella to us, and we were very happy with the results. The service was excellent. Our waitress (Cherie, I think) was upbeat and personable and made the experience all the more memorable. The food was reasonably priced and fantastic. I had the Pollo Alla Miro, which was spectacular. We chose to eat outside on the porch area, and the night we ate there, there was a tremendous thunderstorm. They put down the awnings and we were totally protected from the wind and rain.

Nice location. Friendly staff. Though weren't properly briefed about availability of simply the choice of available pasta options for a dish. OK. I ordered Aglio & Olio, the most simple of dishes like a Carbonara. Avoided the latter because cream appeared to be the main component. Short form, the aglio olio (spelled incorrectly on the menu) arrived as rubbery pasta a minute away from al dente, a few half-sliced rosa tomatoes tossed into the mix, some chili bits, no discernible fresh garlic bar the little side bowl of industrial fake garlic that comes out of a bucket which may have gone into this garlic and oil pasta dish as well. My partner hated his prawn dish but not for me to comment on that. I wont be back.

Great experience, excellent food, great wine list & nice waiter. I think this restaurant is this good is because the owner is present to welcome the patrons, make you feel welcome. Highly recommend.

We were recommended this restaurnat by the guest house were we stayed. We had dinner there three evenings. The food was very good and plenty. My partner had lasagne al forno twice, because it was so good. Very friendly staff

Yummy and authentic Italian food. Great service. Would have given five stars if they were not painting their front outer walls, as the fumes were coming inside the restaurant. It interfered with the experience.

We ordered too much but it was all delicious and the wines very good. Very friendly owner / staff, walked us back to our hotel for safety. Best to come by car.

My friend and I went there for coffee one Sunday. The service is amazing, the coffee was great and the food (all Italian dishes) are a reasonable price. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Taken for dinner by friends. Atmosphere is great. Relaxed and friendly. Waitress seems a bit unsure of herself, but then could be her first job, nerves! Then all hell breaks loose. Starters for one person comes after one main meal is served! Much deliberation and running around from waitrons, manager and kitchen staff.....after 45 minutes starter arrives and then the balance of the mains....all wrong. Taste terrrible. Not cooked, still cold and raw! Not acceptable, no excuses, not allowed, not busy......no one knew what they were doing. Manager swollowed her tongue!! No more to be said? Never going back, ever.....worst experience in years.

It’s a lovely restaurant with tables outside facing north, overlooking melville. My fish soup was superb, with mussels, calimari, prawns and fish in abundance. My partner had the meatball pasta, nothing to write home about but solid food. Service friendly, homely atmosphere inside and sidewalk cafe bonhomie on the verandah.
