Hidden away behind a small shopping centre. Found the service excellent, food good, decor fine..most probably more fun of a lunchtime rather than dinner unless you do not want to be noticed!! Low key, fine.......

I would give this restaurant zero stars if that were an option. I cannot comment on the food because we did not eat any. The restaurant misrepresented its offering on Johannesburg Restaurant Week, and none of the staff on site on Saturday 3 November 2018...More

Location - off the beaten path, but do not be intimidated by it. It is located at the back of the shopping centre, and there is a pub/bar next door that plays rather loud music, but i urge you still not to be intimidated by...More

This was our second visit. We had a la carte and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, a restaurant experience is more than just food. The restaurant was hot and we were told that they had no aircon, only fans. Only half the fans were turned...More

I’ve been in the restaurant in the past, for dinner, and had a very good experience. However, today it was REALLY frustrating. My husband and I joined for Lunch and we were the only ones in the restaurant from the beginning till the end. Unfortunately,...More

My friends and I were treated to an amazing culinary feast. The food was superb to say the least, the flavour combinations were amazing and the manor in which the food was displayed and served resulted in a very complimentary evening.

First impressions is the location (very dark behind shopping centre) is a little dodgy - but felt extremely safe so no issues. The decor and lighting needs some work though - the white tiles and weird lighting just don't work But then we are there...More

A Monday night, a special occasion and what a disappointment. With so many good reviews, expectations were high for this restaurant. The place was not busy which made some of the lapses even worse and on reflection I feel a " B team " on...More

LBV, which opened in December 2013, has become a Bryanston neighbourhood institution. Since Chef Darren and his partner Lisa became partners in the business they have adopted the culture of the upmarket restaurant while incorporating their own fine dining experience to bring a truly unique offering to the JHB market… A la carte fine dining! The South African born duo broadened their horizons after 5 years at the helm of Cube Tasting Kitchen with a worldwide culinary journey in which they discovered new techniques, trends and flavour combinations that you will find on the restaurant’s seasonal menu.
