Set in the beautiful grounds of La Pari-Pari, fatCUPID is tucked away down a quiet lane off the main Pantai Tengah strip. Owned and operated by three cousins, the restaurant features recipes from their family's rich Nyonya heritage, incorporating dishes learned from their Grandmother, and some Aussie favourites that are a reference to the cousins' shared experiences living in Australia. Great for a laid-back breakfast or lunch, and a fantastic intimate venue for a quiet, cozy dinner.

We went to Fat Cupid in two occasions. The first for local food and the second because we fancied western and their burgers are homemade.
The food and service were both very good, and the environment is quite pleasant with the restaurant overlooking the garden and pool. Prices are a little higher than elsewhere but so is the general quality of the offering.
The only reason they didn’t get five stars was because although the dish was tasty, the quality of the meat in the rendang was poor. I’m fine with lower quality meat in a curry, but it needs cooked longer to stop it being chewy and sinewy, and unfortunately this wasn’t cooked long enough.
Overall, a pleasant experience and worth a visit.

The food we had at Fat Cupid was absolutely wonderful, and a highlight in Malaysia, even if pricing is relatively high. They are really just cooking at cooking everything, and it feels. The malaysian curries are a notch above most places, and the continental food is really good.
The person who serves us was very awkward unfortunately, a strange mix between waiting for us to bus, being too stressed out, and treating us like it's victorian England again. Strange, and somewhat unpleasant if you don't like awkwardly and pushily being treated like royalty.

This place is situated just off the main road (down a poorly lit track) but worth finding. We visited quite late for an evening meal and got the last table, so might be an idea to book beforehand.
The menu caters for local and western dishes and is very well priced. Staff serve you quickly and nice atmosphere in restaurant. We hope to visit again to try more dishes - well done team.

As we’ve experienced before the food is 1st class, but sadly this time the service has let it down.
We ordered a starter of Chicken & Beef Satay skewers and mains of Beef Rendang and a Beef Hor Fun, having waited whilst others around us starters appeared suddenly our main meals arrived. We agreed not to make a fuss and agreed that if we were still hungry after we would raise our issue.
The quality of the mains were very good and filling and we didn’t need to re order the starter. We then ordered a small bottle of water, after 10-15 minutes no water arrived, we asked for the bill, paid it, got our change and then the waiter brought the water, which we kindly declined.
It should be noted that the Satay skewers weren’t on the bill and obviously forgotten completely and the water didn’t feature either.
We will return again as the food is excellent, just need to brush up on the service.

We finally got the chance to dine in this restaurant after 3 yearly attempts whenever we were in Langkawi. We had to make reservations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When we arrived, we were told to note down our particulars & have our body temperature checked before being ushered to our table.
Our 30-something waitress was very friendly & helpful. She gave us recommendations & 2 of my friends decided to follow her suggestions. One had the lemon butter snapper & the other had chicken while another friend & I had the same beef burger order. While the fish was exceptionally good, the chicken was just average & the 2 buns of my beef burger were cold. Hence, I had requested them to grill them again. We shared 2 types of salad & one was better than the other though I could not remember which was the better one. The 2 were the calamari salad & the pumpkin & mango salad. For dessert, we also shared 2 types of dessert. Unfortunately, the one which was recommended by the waitress was not nice at all. It was something peculiar, an acquired taste which many may not agree with. Imagine having chilli caramel as a dessert. At least, my order of coconut sago was delicious.
Overall, service was slow but perhaps it was due to the fact that there were so many customers dining-in at the same time. The ambience was cosy but it was a little warm although we had 2 fans located nearby.
One visit is enough for me.

We were here for dinner. Location is off path and we took a Grab to reach here. Ambient was ok but the food is beyong expectation. Serving size is big and they are generous to provide you decent and good ingredients. We thought only the western food is good but their local dishes is equally tasty. We should have order less dishes cause we are small eater. Do bring mosquitoes repellent is you want to visit there in the evening cause that's the only issue we faced in the restaurant. and yes, no outside beer allowed. We accidentally brought in 1 can of beer so we drank it immediately. :)

We visit Langkawi often and always make a trip to dine at fatCUPID a priority. It is really tough to find fault with this hidden gem, the service is just brilliant and the staff are always so helpful and great fun - they really add to your positive dining experience and the food is simply delicious. Down a lane way we made our way to the restaurant. Tried the fried wontons for starters which were nice. Our host was friendly, informative of the island, the accommodation available, the history of the restaurant as well as attending to meals and cocktail types. It made for a relax full, friendly evening.
The mains we bought were the Laksa (which was a huge bowl) as well as beef rendang and a chicken dish I can’t recall the name of, but all got the thumbs up.
Might just go back for the gin varieties!

We stayed at this hotel and were shocked how much we enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The burgers are massive and actually seasoned!! They have flavor in the patties which is a welcome change and the fries are nice and fresh. We really enjoyed the wontons and the satay as well.
My favorite was the beef rendang! It has a hint of coconut flavor and I loved the spices in it as well. It is a very nostalgic dish for me and they nailed it.
The breakfasts are HUGE! We loved them all and ended up not needing to eat lunch. Come hungry! We also tried a couple desserts. We enjoyed the "spicy" dessert and the brownies with ice cream.
Their sangria's are delicious! The blanco and rojo were our favorites and the make a mean gin and tonic as well. We did not have a bad meal here and once we ate here once we did not leave.
The staff is also excellent. They were so friendly, helpful and warm. They really seek to enjoy being in the service industry and it shows. We miss them already!

It was so good we had breakfast and came back for dinner! The staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome.
The breakfast was lovely and made a change as we rarely eat western breakfast. Beef sausage and bacon was divine and a huge portion I vouldnt finish!
The dinner..... amazing! I had 2 cocktails, So good I had the Go Lightly, Pimms with mint vodka and lychee, twice.
The beef Rendang was tasty and balanced so well. The chicken Curry was also so good and just the right amount of spice for us as we've spicy.
We will be back many times in our stay. Thank you. Highly recommend the Fat Cupid for breakfastlunch or dinner.

Great experience, lovely food. Had to wait for a short while as they had a large party in which they warned us about. Very reasonably priced food and drink only 110 ringgit for starter for 2, main for 2 and 2 alcoholic cocktails each! Service was fantastic, really enthusiastic waiter we had, he recommended foods for us and adjusted to our taste. Food was for fresh and felt so authentic! Little hidden gem

We had a pleasant stay at La Pari Pari for 3d2n. The rooms are clean and the environment is good. My elder daughter got bitten by alot of mosquitoes tho' as there are plants and trees so please bring along mosquitoes repellent /repellent stickers .
We ordered their beef hor fun and curry chicken kapitan as supper , for sharing among 4pax. My husband who do not usually take supper, especially after a heavy dinner, swept all the food that night because the food is really good. I forgot to take picture of the food because i was too overwhelmed by the fragrance and taste of the food.

Lovely, quiet setting, just off the main road. Food is very good, they accommodate people’s different levels of spice/heat tolerance, excellent cocktails. What makes this restaurant is the superb staff who are friendly and professional, they go out of their way to make the customers comfortable.

The Nyonya chicken curry kapitan was one of the best things I’ve eaten all week. I loved this place. The service was brilliant, the chef was one of the most charming people I’ve ever met as well as being awesome. Dessert (the brownie) was almost as good as my wife’s and that is definitely saying something. The setting is really cool and I would definitely come again. I imagine this place would be amazing for breakfast / brunch.

We have eaten here twice in four days its that good. The kids love the burgers and fish and chips, huge portions for them but they almost finish. Us grown ups love the Malaysian food. I'm a vegetarian so delighted to have a few delicious options including tempeh rendang. Great value for such good food.
