We had another lovely lunchtime meal to celebrate friends Golden Anniversary. The menu du jour is excellent with a great selection of courses. The service as usual was friendly and efficient. Loved it!!

A fantastic family meal, very. Welcoming staff and a good menu selection. We tried the Leffe Ruby beer which was brilliant, we ordered three pizzas and a side order of fries which were served promptly, we also had a 50cl carafe of red wine. Excellent...value with very helpful staff.More

Again we visited on a Friday lunchtime on our latest visit to France and were not disappointed. The place was busy as usual on our arrival at midday but we had reserved a table so no problem. The menu was excellent with a choice of...3 starters, 4 mains and 7 desserts. In particular, the veal main course and the fish main course were exceptional and were served with chips and an egg baked mould of peppers, green beans, potatoes and onions which was delicious. The grilled apple dessert and the peach dessert were tasty too, All delivered with friendly service and a drink for the princely sum of 12 euros each. We chose to have coffee too which added an extra 1.20 euro per person. An absolute bargain for a super meal. I cannot recommend this highly enough.More

We visited this lovely restaurant twice during our week long stay along with friends who live in France and had visited before. They were advised that we would need to book as at lunchtimes, it's very popular and they weren't wrong. We arrived just before...midday and by 10 past, they were turning people away. The 3 course set meal which includes a drink was a very reasonable 12 euros and the menu choices were excellent. There are generally 3 starters, 3 mains and on both occasions, at least 5 desserts. As an example, I had a mixed salad for starters which included bacon and boiled egg and was delicious. I then had a large marinated grilled pork chop with mixed vegetables and excellent chips and followed this with a rather large portion of lemon meringue pie. The portion sizes were good and the food was hot and tasty. We didn't have to wait long between courses and although she was rushed off her feet, it was all served with a broad smile. Definitely worth a visit as the food is all fresh, the restaurant is attractive as is the village and the welcome is lovely. On top of that, it was amazing value!More

A village centre restaurant with contemporary décor. Very creatively, there are a number of framed sayings on the walls, all of them referring to 'bonheur' (happiness). We arrived a bit early, so had a glass of wine at the bar. The welcome was friendly At...our table we had to choose from the fixed price menu at 12 euros per person. The a la carte selection is not available except for certain nights during the week. When each course arrived it was accompanied by the same level of disappointment. It seemed as though everything came from a tin, or other container, and really lacked any professional touches. My main course was effectively a beef burger (without the bun). Once again, it was OK, but not what I really wanted and if I had to have if for lack of choice, I would have preferred a bit of effort in the presentation. Everything was perfectly edible, but, from our experience in other local small restaurants, not what we imagined we would get. It was very disappointing. All the more so when we learned that the owners are a young couple who moved down from Paris a year ago, and are trying to establish their business here. It is always nice to support someone starting out but unfortunately, in this case, we got the impression that they have not yet really decided on what their market is and how they are going to satisfy and grow that market. For example, we had to wait for the main courses while a take-away order got priority. While we wish them all success in this business venture, I regret, we shall not be making a return visit.More
