Rich breakfast table and tasty dinner

The large restaurant space is clean. Dining can take place on the glass terrace or outside in good weather. The breakfast table is rich and varied. Dinner has the option of buffet or ala carte dishes. Especially the fish portion is large and tasty. Fast service.

Peaceful atmosphere, delicious food

Our party of 4 adults and 2 children enjoyed our meal at Restaurant Seeblick. We were not hotel guests, but our family member did call ahead and make a table reservation. The variety of seating options is nice---you can sit inside, on the enclosed terrace, or outside on the open air terrace. It was a pleasant evening so we ate outside. It was a quiet week night with just a few other tables of guests there. We found the service we received to be attentive with a fairly short turn-around time between placing our order and the food arriving. I had the large meal salad with chicken breast, my husband had the roasted cod with summer vegetables, our companions had the large salad with roasted cod, and a cold kitchen aspic dish. Our children had pasta bolognese and (I think) a wiener schnitzel with french fries. When my daughter was still hungry after her pasta, the wait staff quickly accommodated our additional order of a bowl of soup. My salad was ample and very good, but the presentation of my husband's cod dish made me wish that I had ordered that! It was golden with colorful vegetables and despite not being a much of a fish fan, he really enjoyed it. Our relative had equally beautiful golden cold on her meal salad, and the aspic dish was nicely presented to the other member of our party in a decorative glass jar with flip top lid. Having a great view of the lake during our meal was a definite plus. There is a play area for small children adjacent to the outside terrace. Upon leaving we took a stroll along the lake and enjoyed the beautiful summer evening. All in all a great dining experience.

Fantastic food, let down by service.

We were camping nearby and popped in for an Icecream - Sublime and not overly expensive. We did this twice and the quality was just as good. We then decided to book a table for the evening. It took 10 minutes for someone to come out and arrange the table for us. So we then came in the evening and again the food was superb. The salads were lovely, I had one as a starter and my wife had hers as the main course. She had the soup as a starter. Trouble was it took over 20 minutes for someone to give us the menus. Now I accept Restaurants can be busy places but 20 mins? Everyone else had their drinks or were eating. Once we ordered that was fine but my wife seemed to think that there was better service for those who stayed in the hotel compared to those who visited the restaurant. Now, the Game goulash was very tasty and plenty enough to the point where I struggled to finish it. The others in our group also just managed to finish and did not need anything more, all agreed the food was lovely. But I must go back to service. This is a 4 star hotel, we sat down, cutlery was put on a side plate and left on the table for us to pick our own. Paper napkins ina holder in the centre of the table whereas others had cotton Napkins. In a 4 star hotel? If it wasn't for the quality of the food I would have given it only 3. Location is fantastic overlooking the lake and we will visit again, I just hope the service improves.
