We visited this restaurant which is a little bit on the side of the main road. The service was friendly and attentive the order dishes to add additional Bavarian food. The excellent taste and quality. The size of portion could have been a little bit bigger. The prices for the food, are settle a little bit more in the higher region. E.g. Schweinekrustenbraten for 17,90€.
You are sitting nicely outside and quiet in the back of the house which was built in 1720 .
I would definitely come back . Credit cards welcome. Cost free parking at the house.

Very nice place.
Food was good, the spaetzle could have had a little more spice. Price-wise, it's still OK.
Soup could have been a little more.
The only drawback, staff seemed already very stressed, I can also understand there were several companies there.
However, I also work with people myself and no matter how stressed you are, the customers should not get it..

We spent a wonderful evening at the alte Wirzhuette with a party of 50+ people. Great food and great atmosphere!

While we were very satisfied on our last visit, this time we unfortunately have to say that there is a lot of room for improvement with the Almsalat we ordered. Very small salad, almost only iceberg lettuce, just mediocre for the rather high price, that should definitely be changed. Otherwise we were served in a friendly manner and the seating is nice with a view of the Spitzingsee.

Our visit to the WurzhĂĽtte ended in disaster. I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with friends and discussed my special celebration with the landlady Margot.
Then the unbelievable happened: This woman, mind you, the boss of this hut, organized a counter-event for my big birthday. She charged me a four-figure sum for this impudence for my celebration and at the same time for her organized counter-event. This is and remains beyond words! This location is not recommended under any circumstances and ranks among the worst. Never again!!!!

Not many places open in Spitzingsee in the day we visited, so we were happy this was.
It's been loveily modernised since our last visit but still has kept many of its traditional bavarian features.
Food and drinks were lovely and quick and friendly service too.
Toilets are spotless.
Prices very reasonable.

Considering the location and the venue, this could be a fantastic starting point for your hike into the German Alps or a great venue for your compay event. Unfortuntely there is a lack of service througout.
Arriving for a company meeting, the conference table was still covered with crumbles from the previous booking party. We were nowhere to be welcomed and felt a bit left alone. Food can also be improved. Beeing woken up by loud noises from the kitchen downstairs at 5 am doesn't help either. Such a pitty. This hotel has so much potential, newly renovated with great views of the lake. Lack of service and unwelcoming behavoir ruins it for me.

Traditional Bavarian Restaurant.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and food freshly cooked to order.

The Alte WurzhĂĽtte is a genuine traditional restaurant where everything is just right, from the excellent taste and choice of dishes, to the friendly and professional service, to the beautiful rustic decorations of these very characteristic old rooms. We definitely recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

Over 70 colleagues from 28 countries enjoyed a wonderful Bavarian feast last Tuesday evening in this historic setting. From GlĂĽwein to Schnaps the atmosphere, the food and the service all left wonderful memories.

The restaurant is in the middle of the village and the ambience is very good. The staff is friendly but a bit slow. The food, mainly Bavarian dishes, tastes OK.

Had a wonderful meal here with 6 friends on a Saturday night. It was busy but we still managed to get a table and as the restaurant is split into rooms its feels smaller, and isn't noisy. I was very pleased with the vegetarian selection, which was limited elsewhere in the town (and Germany generally!). Starter selection a bit poor but the goats cheese salad was great. My friends were very pleased with their various choices to schnitzels (veal & pork, veal was better apparently d local fish. We had a fabulous local dessert, a bit like pancakes mixed with bread & butter pudding. Highly recommend it and would definitely go back

Traditional Bayern restaurant for a group of 14 colleagues during in conference in the area. The card showed traditional menu for the area/region. The food and drinks were served properly by the friendly staff. Quality of the food was good. Some starters in the middle of the table served with traditional bread, nice and tasty. The main menu a la carte served efficiently, well in time and appreciated. Quality was good. Due to the weather and low outside temperature no use of the outside facilities.
