We ended up at Café Mesner for breakfast by chance because our reserved table was taken at another location. Up until now we only knew the patisserie with very delicious cakes.
A real stroke of luck, we sat in the garden under chestnut trees with a view of the lake, delicious breakfast, really good prices (of course you could get cake too) and friendly service. We'll be back!

They have a huge selection of delicious cakes. We sat outside on the terrace, which was nice, but you had to go inside the shop to order your cakes.

The cafe is located just above the lake, with a shady garden out the back that's perfect for relaxing in on a sunny day. Alongside the usual coffee and tea there's a large selection of cakes available, and the service is great. There's also a standard shop around on the street side where you can get cake and marzipan to take with you.

We walked around Schliersee looking for something open and this was about it. We were welcomed and given menus promptly. The breakfast menu was translated for us by the friendly waitress. Our choices were combined. We enjoyed really fresh crusty rolls, ham and other meats, salad, eggs done in a jar, and excellent coffee. My wife and I returned later in the day for cake and coffee. Once again, first rate.

I headed to the tables in the outdoor garden with beautiful plants & a view to the Schliersee before ordering.
Service was very good & the Kasekuchen had the lightest delicate flavour & thinnest base making it the best I have eaten in a long while.
The latte macchiato was reasonable...never seen to be strong enough for my palate.
I will be back when next in Schliersee.

This is a traditional Bavarian "Konditorei" - that is a cake bakery. They offer a wide range of cakes that you can choose in the store at the front (or buy some for takeaway). In summer they have many tables outside, behind the building, under the trees. It is really nice. Besides,and this is a real feature, a garden with a playground for kids. So if you have kids and would like to eat your cake and drink your coffee in peace - that's the place to go! Coffee could be better, but the teas are very good.

During our 2-week vacation in Schliersee we patronised this cafe several times for coffee and the cakes (they do have a wide variety to choose from). We love sitting outside to enjoy the greenery and the cool breeze.
