Very cosy , traditional German restaurant with great food and service

We ate here on New Year’s Day and could not fault it . Great friendly service . Lovely atmosphere. Offered English Menus immediately . Traditional German dishes but also some Christmas specials. My son had half a roast duck which was beautifully cooked and delicious. Great accompaniments - delicious red cabbage and the most wonderful and unusual chips/ potatoes. Overall excellent experience and would recommend it .

Restaurant that convinces with drinks and beer specialties and excellent food. Much more importantly, however, just coming in convinces . Friendly welcome very warm welcome atmosphere. Simple small but not cramped. A waiter who politely understands attention and fun ( thousand thanks) . The ambience very pleasant. Small rooms cutlery and clean toilets! A selection of drinks that leaves nothing to be desired. From alcohol-free to beer enjoyment to wine specialties, everything is there. The menu clear and well put together , portions outstanding . Also specialties of the day / week this time game . Meat and dishes of excellent quality , presentation very well suited to the brewery. It is for everyone something small big little more hearty exceptionally simple special. Magnificent. The waiter very attentive all dishes are brought together, is inquired about drinks , dessert coffee. Just one comment - the bread must become different. I am sure Schliersee has an excellent baker or the Albert Link Cabin - to offer the bread at a good level. Ours was unfortunately supermarket/mixed bread level ugly. A beautiful farmer red with resche crust sourdough would be a better alternative. But that was also the only thing!! Thank you for letting me be your guest! Keep it up !!!

Great authentic Bavarian experience

Visited as a family of 5 and were made to feel very welcome. The menu is typically Bavarian and very reasonable value. We had duck, schnitzel, 2 types of roast pork, dumplings and 2 krauts. Portions are very generous! The beer is great. The schnapps even better. We’d definitely return.

It could have been nice...😥 We were there at 4:15 p.m. with 2 people and a dog...we wanted a table for two and were seated at a table for 6...free until 7 p.m. Then only until 6 p.m. At 5:45 p.m. we had to pay and finish our drinks, even though there was a table for 6 and four tables for 4 free across the street. We actually just wanted to finish our drinks in peace and wait for the storm and rain to pass. What a pity. It could have been nice...

Were spontaneously in the council cellar on Sundays for lunch. Local was full, but still got 5 places in the flood. Very nice restaurant, super nice service, excellent food and priced absolutely ok. I especially loved the fact that my favourite wine, a Lugana Le Creete, was in the dispenser. The only thing I found a bit exaggerated was the price of half a litre of mineral water for 5.90 €, but this did not affect the very positive overall impression.

Rustic ambience with excellent dishes

I hadn't reserved a table, but was greeted in a friendly manner and shown to a table. The waiters are super accommodating and very nice. It was Good Friday and there was a special menu with just fish. I ordered the fried fish. I have to say I've never eaten such delicious fried fish. It was sea bass. It was perfectly cooked and tasted just delicious. The homemade remoulade also contributed to that. And the potato and cucumber salad was perfectly balanced in terms of taste. I'm not actually a fan of potato and cucumber salad or I prefer fried potatoes with fish, but this really tasted 10/10. The price is normal for the region. But it was definitely worth the money! If I were to go on holiday there again, it would be my first port of call as a restaurant.

We were more than satisfied with the Ratskeller this evening. We were given a nice table and our drink order was taken quickly. A quick look at the menu was enough for the four of us to find something suitable. The schnitzel, salad, roast pork and fried chicken were so delicious that we forgot to take pictures. Even our son (self-proclaimed schnitzel expert) was more than impressed by the taste. And one thing is certain - this was by far the best meal in this area during our vacation. We'll be happy to come back on our next vacation - for sure!!!👍

The landlord welcomed us warmly, despite the full house and the hustle and bustle. He still managed to get us a small table for two. The service was quick and friendly. The food and drink selection is varied. Both were excellent!!! The food was unbelievably delicious. At the end we asked for a recommendation for a schnapps with nuts. We were given two different ones. One was a house brandy. We had never drunk such a tasty nut schnapps!!! When we left we were able to try a pine schnapps - a dream!!! ANYTIME and we would gladly go back!!!

Best Restaurant in Schliersee/Neuhaus ❤️

It's probably the best place we visited, while on holiday in Schliersee-Neuhaus. We visited a few times and we weren't disappointed. Drinks only on our first day, standing outside, after a beautiful walk around the lake. Drinks only on our second visit, we sat inside at the high tables past the kitchen. Food and drinks on our last visit. The food is freshly cooked to order and is your typical Bavarian cuisine. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly, and the Käsespätzle was delicious 😋. What made this place so good are THE STAFF. They are so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The fact that each one remembered us from previous visits just added to the ambience of the restaurant. Lovely outdoor area, with huts and heating too. We will definitely return.

Average food, poor service and rude staff. Me and my family had visited this restaurant several years ago and were extremely disappointed with our return visit. We found the staff rude and dismissive especially when we raised dietary requirement concerns. As regular visitors to the area we would not visit again nor would we recommend.

Food was average for Bavaria. Waiter was gruff & rude. Seemed disgusted because we didn’t speak German and was impatient. The German couple sitting next to us at the table were attended to very well as we were ignored. Such a disappointment.

We visited Ratskeller Schliersee with family and friends for lunch. The place has a charming, traditional Bavarian vibe with rustic wooden furniture and historical pictures and art decor from the area. The service was spot-on, making the experience enjoyable. However, the food was just okay and didn’t quite meet our expectations—none of the dishes, from the Schnitzel to the Käsespätzle or Rahm-Schwammerl, really stood out. It's unfortunate, given the good location and atmosphere. Top marks, though, for the draft Augustiner beer!
