A friend recommended as a great pet friendly cafe in the upper highway area. It was quaint and had the real feel of a working farm (which it is essentially). We went as a family with a young toddler and fur baby in tow. The menu has plenty of options and is reasonably priced. The kiddies play area with jungle gym is small but functional although we did have to keep an eye on our little guy as it is not enclosed and at one stage he was happy to wonder off to play with the "real" tractor. We liked the fact that the waitress brought our dog their own bowl of water. Nice touch. We will definitely visit again.

Breakfast was tasty, the eggs Benedict was delicious and the hot chocolate was rich and smooth. A good place to meet for breakfast.

I like to bring my granddaughter here as we live just up the road. I have been here about 5x. 1st time, lovely. 2nd time - waited 1/2 hour to be served, another 30mins + for our drinks and food that we just walked out. 3rd time, service was again very slack, we had to ask to be served and waited 20mins + for our food and drinks. Yesterday was the pits (Sunday 11.02.24). Waitress did not even know what a Lime & Soda was, nor a Passionfruit & Lemonade. After explaining, she brought a Lime & Water and argued with me that it was Soda. It was a VERY flat soda water then. I called the manager, all he could say was "sorry". We did not even order food, we paid and walked out. Sadly, I will NEVER return. But I don't think the staff care anyway, too busy chatting to each other!

Highly recommend as a place to visit. The Potters Shed Bistro is set on a huge piece of land with natural forest. The forest can be explored, there are several walks for various fitness levels...you may take your bicycle to explore the trails or even your dog (on a lead) The trails are clearly demarcated from Novice to experienced. The restaurant offers a great selection of foods...we had the pizza, (The Roman) an absolute masterpiece. With a sour dough base. My son ordered the South African double Burger, really good size meal for a hungry teen. My daughter had the avo on sourdough toast with added bacon and egg. Lovely thick slice of toast with a huge helping of avo, bacon, tomotoe and hummus....this is a must have if you looking for a healthy meal. Beautifully presented. Kids had milkshakes, Chocolate cake flavour and bubblegum. Lovely thick shakes that were ice cold. An added bonus to the Pottershed is the freezer were you can purchase frozen foods from a section of their menu. I stocked up with some meals that im sure are going to go down well. They also make their own relishes and hot sauces....as well as a huge variety of drinks, i purchased the fudge flavoured vodka and some sherry as last minute gifts for christmas. They cater for all members of the family and gave our dog Callie a biltong infused biscuit. (Also made by their team, sold in a decent sized bag.) All in all this venue is great for the whole family. Either sit inside by the fire or sit out on the verandah and enjoy the beautiful view. There is no place like this! Friendly staff, great food at a good price and whats better than going on a stroll with the family in a beautiful natural forest. 10 out of 10!
