Please guys open one in London! I will be queuing for it! I love the food, the service and the decor. Friendly staff, huge portions of crabs and very fresh. I highly recommend

This is not just a meal it is an insane experience. The welcome was most charming. Then they equip you with a bib and a mallet and your meal is served. I had a 1 kg crab served with potatoes which took me over 1.5...hours to eat the meal. I thoroughly enjoyed both the experience and the food. They are a selection of other meals available, not just crab but the smashing/picking/eating experience was a lot of fun.More

Authentic very reasonably priced crab restaurant. Walked from hotel but unfortunately restaurant was fully booked. It was cold but decided to eat there anyway. Waiter brought me a jacket and I sat at a table outside. I ate a Spider crab with bread with small...potatoes and a nice beer. It was super. Call first and make a reservation.More

We visited the restaurant for lunch with friends who had been before and recommended the place. We were not disappointed! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, but not pushy....We felt so relaxed we really didn't want to leave. The food was superb. I had oysters to start, which were fresh tasting and delicious. For the main course, I chose 'L'Amiral', which was half a crab and an amazing abundance of langoustines. My other half chose 'Le croustillant de crabe' to start - absolutely delicious; and then 'Les Ormeaux de Molène' - abalone. Neither of us had tried abalone before but it was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere in the restaurant was so pleasant. I had been nervous about ordering something as awkward sounding to eat as a crab in its shell but the young man who waited on us was so helpful, showing me how to smash it with the mallet, that there was no problem at all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait until our next visit.More

Went with a big group so we chose from a limited menu for simplicity. I went for the crab risotto followed by the fish of the day as I didn't think I could manage a whole crab! I was pleased with my choice as when...the crabs came to the table they were huge! It was fun to watch people tackle them with a hammer but I preferred my lovely fresh fish with vegetables. For desert we had a local pudding - sadly I didn't catch what it was called but it was delicious! Overall the service was very good and the atmosphere was really homely and felt like a family kitchen.More

Recommended by our hosts, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Both of us opted for the L’Amiril (1/2 a crab and Langoustines). Our servers were very helpful and kindly educated us in the best technique of extracting the crab flesh using mallet, knife and pick. Wonderfully...fresh, helpful attentive service, and good value for money, we would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Oh, and make sure you reserve a table in advance at the weekend.More
