I went to dinner recently at Cane Garden and ordered the Stir Fry. What a disappointment. This is what a conventional Stir Fry should contain: sliced carrots, broccoli florets, sugar snap peas, red bell pepper among other things. My Stir Fry had cabbage, a few...small slices of Snow Peas and LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of Spaghetti which was cooked more than Al Dente (meaning it was harder than Al Dente). What save this dish from being a total disaster was the sauce. The sauce was delicious. Will I return? Probably, but I'll stay away from the Stir Fry.More

The place is back up and running well. It must be a change of crew. James was a happy and great to see at the place. A friendly face with great service. We will be back again soon.

Been a long time since being there, well before Covid. Went for fish and chips. It was okay, but heavily breaded. Not very crisp. A little soggy. Need to go back on prime rib night and see how it is now. Service was good. Maybe...the novelty has worn off and we've all become jaded.More

Great bartender and waitress but the prime was inedible could not even cut it. Should have sent it back but did not. My baked potato had no butter or sour cream. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallops which was truly awful. We feel sorry...for restaurant issues with obtaining good staff so have a tendency to allow poor food to be served. Regret this in this place as it was not just mediocre but inedible.More

Was looking forward to a great meal, was so disappointed, I ordered the Lobster salad roll, it came with no visual lobster at all, after looking for a sign of it, I was able to find a small piece about 1/2” on it, certainly not...worth ordering it also it did not tasted like lobster, my wife ordered the chicken cordon blue arrived cold and the top was burnt, we had a party of 5 people and all the meals were BAD. They were busy and obviously short staffed, the only thing worth eating was the appetizer of onion rings they were delicious. We paid good money for a less than mediocre meal that most of us did not eat. Could not sent it back since a couple in our party bragged about how great the food was, sorry it was totally inedible and most of it went in the trash, the couple that bragged on it could not believe it and apologized greatly. I have to give a thumbs up to our waiter Jeremy, he really tried to make a bad situation, but the kitchen was not helping. I am giving them 2 stars based on Jeremy’s effort and the great Onion Rings, otherwise it would be a one star terrible ratingMore

I used to love CaneGarden, but the last two visits were very disappointing. Slow service, and food quality and quantity have gone down hill. The medium burger was smaller than Mc Donald’s, it was 2/3’s the size of the bun. Well done. I asked for...tomato and Mayo. Had to remind the waitress, and by the time she brought the Mayo, the sandwich was cold. My friend ordered the seafood salad croissant, fake crab and no shrimp, so wet the croissant was mush. So disappointing.More

We ate dinner at the Cane Garden Country Club last evening and it was an great. We were staying at the Hampton Inn Lady Lake the Villages and found the restaurant through a “nearby” search on TripAdvisor. While reading the reviews we discovered the restaurant...offered a Tuesday night prime rib special and we were sold. There are specials every night of the week as well as lunch specials that all sounded appealing. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:00. Although the restaurant was busy, both inside and outside tables were available with no wait. We were seated promptly choosing to sit inside as it was hot and humid outside. The outside seating has a view of the first hole, putting green and water feature while inside is more utilitarian. Our server was friendly and efficient. We started with two very good dirty martinis and the lobster bisque. The server told us that some felt the bisque was salty and it was slightly but very tasty. The prime rib was delicious. Mine came out over done at first, but was quickly replaced with a perfect rare cut. The baked and mashed potatoes were very good as was the sautéed spinach and vegetable medley. We would have ordered dessert, but all that was left was a brownie that we passed on. After dinner we walked around the first hole and putting green while the sun was setting. All in all a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely dine here again. The restaurant is in the heart of the villages and we enjoyed the drive through the neighborhood watching all the unique golf carts go by along the way.More

We were told 15 min wait and given a pager. Checked after 30 minutes, told we would be next, Checked after another 30 minutes wait, they did not have our pager number on the list….someone “ pulled the number”….whatever that means. They seated us right...away after that….food came quickly. Server, Michelle, was excellent. Just goes to show that you need to keep checking with hostess. Lower rating given due to snafu.More

This restaurant is in my parents neighborhood. They are regulars there and also like it. They say the fish tacos are good here.

I have lived here 15 years and never seen a pet at Cane Garden. Pets don’t belong in restaurants unless they are true service dogs. Just because you love your pet, doesn’t mean everyone does.
