We booked a table, when we got there, straight away was greeted with a lovely young lady who showed us to our table. We had a lovely, bubbly and professional waitress called Carrie who made our whole dining experience complete. I ordered modules marinierre it...was huge, there was so many mussels (mains size) I was unable to it eat all, and my hubby had a huge burger, fries and homemade coleslaw, I have never had a dining experience from start to finish in such a happy way. Can't say enough about it.More
Very different pub from our last visit, however all very positive improvements. We sat outside under a large canopy in a very nicely refurbished seating area. Waitress was superb, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Very attentive service with nice drinks followed by a fish curry and...mussels diablo. The food was great, warm, tasty and very ample. It’s great to visit a solid pub which has improved on previously high standards. We will be back…. Booking recommended if you want to eat outside. Looking forward to the in-house brewery going live.More
We were staying a Monday night in Lymington, our B&B owner recommended Monkey Brewhouse . The town was busy and many places closed or full. This was an absolute joy - such welcoming , efficient and friendly staff. Great selection of beers . We loved...the decor, the atmosphere and the great choice of food from the menu and the specials. Some interesting, creative dishes above the usual standard fayre. Our orders came and everything was really well presented and tasted delicious. An ideal place for us that we’d highly recommend to anyone and will definitely return to.More
What a find, love this place. Bit of a drive, but a great location to drive to through the forest. Popped in with a late booking for Sunday lunch, we loved it. Great ales, super efficient service and a trendy cool vibe. Roast was absolutely...delicious, fluffy crispy potatoes, well cooked veg, super gravy and a perfect Yorkshire pudding. Tender juicy think slices of beef. Only negative was the dessert choice was not the best, only probably one thing on the menu I would have chosen, would also prefer it when there are several, but a minor point and quite common in most pubs we visit. I just wish pubs would focus a bit more on desserts, after all, its the last thing you remember them for. Great place, we are already heading back soon with some friends.More
Nice looking old pub from the outside - slightly too modern and bland inside. It's a bit of a walk out of central Lymington but worth it for the food, and also the friendly service.
The cajun prawns were a highlight, and the IPA is...very drinkable. Worth a visit.More
Had dinner here last night with my husband - absolutely amazing the staff are friendly the pub looks amazing and the food is absolutely delicious - I couldn’t choose starters so we needed up sharing three and I’m so glad we did the satay chicken,...Cajun prawns and hoisin duck salad are amazing I could of eaten them all over again - mains are also delicious my husband loved the beer/ale on offer and I tried some new gins welcome new flavours I hadn’t tried yet - thank you for an amazing evening. Look forward to coming back and trying something from the on-site brewery.More
Good food and choices, served hot and well presented. Decent atmosphere and environment. Mid price range and good service.
Parking at pub can be limited, but across the road gives a few more choices in residential area.
Only slight gripe was a sticky table though...it had been cleaned.
Enjoyed our evening though.More
