Quintessentially British, with a sprinkling of French. The Elderflower is the new restaurant for food lovers on a cobbled Quay Street in the heart of Lymington, the beautiful Georgian town sited between the New Forest district of Hampshire and the West Solent. Head Chef Patron Andrew Du Bourg (formerly Head Chef at 5* Chewton Glen hotel and Michelin starred Club Gascon, London) will prepare modern British food with a sprinkling of French using locally sourced produce from land and sea.

It is always a treat to visit The Elderflower, especially as it's just a short walk from home! We had the taster menu for lunch and was delighted with the variety of tastes we enjoyed. Marjolaine is a delightful host and her front of house...team give excellent service. The kitchen under the direction of Andrew produce courses which appeal to the palet and eye. The atmosphere is charming and unstuffy. We will returnMore
We were lucky enough to get a cancellation for lunch. The staff were so friendly and the service was impeccable. We loved every course each with its own flavours. All in all , we loved the restaurant. Treat yourselves!

Totally outstanding cuisine. Beautifully presented and fresh food, marvellous service and waiting staff extremely pleasant and friendly as well as the restaurant Manager, the wife of the chef.
We highly recommend this restaurant and wish there was something like this in Guildford, Surrey.
We are hoping to return in August and now just waiting for a cancellation.More
Just a perfect evening. Every attention to detail has been thought about. Not only was the food a taste sensation but the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. We were left to enjoy our meal without being rushed.
I very rarely write...reviews but I want everyone to know how amazing you all are. We will be back even if we have to wait.More
Our third time at the Elderflower and it didn't disappoint. I don't know why this place doesn't yet have a Michelin star. The food and presentation far exceed several establishments that have that accolade. Mind you it is now difficult enough to get in anyway...so perhaps it's best that it doesn't.
Tasting menus only but a choice of how many courses. Friendly and unpretentious.More
For someone who doesn’t like or will ever eat peas, this food was amazing.
The owner was passionate, welcoming and complemented the superb food and the whole experience was amazing. We cannot recommend highly enough.
We saw this restaurant on the TV and the food looked great, so we booked to have the five course tasting menu, arrived at the restaurant the staff where all very welcoming and attentive as each of the courses came out the food was excellent...as was the service the honey bee desert was magnificent. We have already booked to go back in October with some friends.More
Need to book well in advance. Lovely feel to restaurant, small & quaint on cobbled street off main drag. No views except of shops opposite. Staff very friendly & not pretentious. Good choice on wine menu. Had 7 course taster menu, each course a flavour...sensation, definitely recommend. Positive criticism is although napkins clearly washed & clean, had stains on which isn’t nice to see. The restaurant does not seem to cut corners or slack in any area so strange to see oversight.
We loved it!!More
