Under new management.
Martin and staff are brilliant, very friendly and welcoming.
Food was great, atmosphere was lovely, we had a fantastic evening.
Live music on a Saturday, what’s not to like.
Thanks guys, we will definitely be back.
Fabulous first night of food for Martin and his excellent team.
The taster menu was a triumph.
So many people turned up for this evening and they cooed amazingly.
A really enjoyable evening with beer in the best condition and delicious freshly prepared food.
We visited the crown a few nights ago since the new owner Martin had taken over. Both Claire and Martin were very accommodating and friendly. We have since been back and had their charcuterie boxes which were delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic and we sat...outside listening to live music. The perfect afternoon. Thank you - we highly recommend this pub and will definitely be back again.More
Went here with the family, 2 adults 2 children. They allowed dogs which was the reason why we chose the restaurant. We had the fish and chips which was presented well and both my children had lasagne. I myself had the apparently homemade steak and...kidney Pie ( 100% bought in ) i had chips and vegetables and tasteless gravy. Very disappointed with what is a pub /restaurant classic dish. I wouldn't return unfortunately.More
I have been coming to the Crown for 13 years and the food of late has been a little disappointing but I have to say that thanks to the new Chef - and with all due respect to the previous landlord/chef Phil - this was...the best Sunday roast I have had there. Perfect roast pork with exceptional vegetables and a divine Yorkshire pud on the side. And then half of a sublime sticky toffee pudding which managed to be soft and crunchy and light. I hope people will come back in droves - social distancing allowing. There were three of us at lunch and we all were absolutely delighted. Well done Charles for finding such a talent.More
When we visit the New Forest we always have a meal at the crown inn. On this visit we checked their web site before booking to make sure they still had their specials board. When we arrived for our meal we were only given a...very normal pub menu. We asked about specials and were told that due to the fact it was quiet they were only doing specials at the weekend. This was very disappointing and not the fine dining that they advertise. The restaurant was quite busy We did let the waitress know that it was still advertising specials on the web site.More
Visited on Sunday lunch and it was very busy but the waitresses fitted us in and we ate.
Average price and food was well presented
Can’t fault the team so thank you all
Desserts a little pricey but overall I would return
Ate here at lunch time. They do great value fixed price menu. Massive yummy pies, lovely chicken supreme, kids sausage and chips really nice sausage not usual rubbish ones, nice burger. 6 of us ate and drank for £100 and 4 had 2 courses. Only...slight minor points that shouldn't stop you going are the service was a little slow (nothing major) and where we sat there was quite a draft from the doors.More
