I always recommende Løvetann to friends and family as I have never been disappointed in the taste and quality of their food and beverages!! The staff are always supernice and the items are definitely worth what they cost, even the pricey ones. I highly reccomend any of their toasts, they are topped with amazing ingredients and textures that fit together perfectly! When i want to treat myself to something special i go here and buy myself a toast and one of their coffees. I bought their lemon pasta for dinner the other day and it was incredible, they even make the pasta themselves which is so cool :)

I was here with my friends while visiting the city - went for a coffee first but returned later on for food. It was absolutely amazing!
The place is within 10 minutes walking from the Fish Market. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming for everyone with options to sit inside, or chill out on the square outside. Great selection of refreshing beers, wines and non alcoholic beverages - the owner is willing to help you choose. They offer a huge variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes made from top quality ingredients (both fish soup and falafel bowl we had were top-notch), handmade prepared fresh and served really fast.
They also do takeaways.

This is a wonderful neighbourhood restaurant with great staff and good food. The ambiance is beautiful, the cafe adds to the local community and creates vibrant meeting place with positive energy. You can come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or simply have a coffee while you work. Great place!

We ordered the snacks which consisted of nuts and olives; we only got some cheap peanuts... my husband ordered the bacalao. By the price we thought this was a dish that filled you up. The bowl it was served in was so ridiculously small it looked like a cup.

We're terribly sorry to hear that your experience wasn't satisfactory. From what I gather, you may have ordered the food through the takeaway portal which makes it hard for us to specify what kind of snacks we provide. In our menu, you can choose from peanuts, olives or popcorn and they are meant as drinking snacks. The bacalao portion is 400ml, includes a side salad and bread, and we usually get comments about how filling it is - so sorry that wasn't the case for your hubby! We'd love for you to come to our cafe for a free coffee as an apology. Hopefully your next time at our cafe will be a better experience.

Cosy little bistro located on a square in the charming Bergen area of Nordnes.
Only a few tables and an intimate atmosphere.
I ordered a chèvre toast which was tasty but underneath all the salad there was only a tiny sliver of bread and cheese. For for the price it was rather expensive and could not be considered a worthy lunch option.

Served food with gluten for a person with coeliacs disease (who ordered gluten free food). The staff came after the meal to tell later that is was not gluten free.
Did not, however, understand the meaning why people with the disease cannot eat gluten.
If you serve gluten free food it makes sense to understand what it means.
On top of all this, no compensation offered.

A far cry from the glowing positivity echoed by the numerous reviews I have seen. I am unsure if people have simply never tasted proper middle eastern food or are just happy to settle for mediocre food. As a vegetarian I was drawn in by the numerous options that “sounded” delicious.
My father and I shared between the vegan Shakshuka and the Hand of Fatima mains to ensure a proper tasting of the menu. The Shakshuka was essentially like a can of tomato sauce with a piece flatbread. While the Hand of Fatima consisted of dry and darkened pita bread that would make a quick shop pita look like a Michelin star worthy item. The hummus and other sauces tasted bland beyond compare and were most definitely not fresh. I feel it worth noting that I use the word “tasted” quite liberally here given the lack of any proper seasoning or flavor. This was all complemented by a host of cold bland vegetables that couldn’t inspire even a rabbit.
The only positives I can give albeit minor ones are: the flatbread was fine, the water was watery, and the falafel were decent.
Ultimately, both my father and I left the restaurant still hungry and greatly disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially given the plethora of other options that abound.
P.S.
Worth noting that I would have left a 1 as my review score. However, I feel a two will add credibility as often times 1s are left by people with some rare circumstance. As opposed simply cutting apart a poor excuse for suitable food.

It's more for breakfast. There wasn't a single pasta dish of the 4 on the menu and we went at 6:30 p.m. The guy who served us was very bland and offered me eggs and bacon when I asked for a meat dish, so we opted for the tagine for dinner, which was just good. 2 tagines and 2 beers 806 kr which is not cheap either. Price of a real restaurant and this one was not.

We were starving and we wanted to dine in a some place nice! Luckily, we met this amazing place with delicious food and nice people! Service is 100%, food quality is 100% also. Hosts of this place are enjoying meeting people and serving them food and drinks! Loved this place! Thank you for the warm welcome ❤️

The food here is amazing, and the staff is the friendliest in all of Bergen! We came here twice in the past three days because we enjoyed it so much. We came for coffee the first day, they were really busy but still very friendly and quick to get us our drinks. The second day we stopped in for lunch and some beers, same great service and the special chicken skewers were delicious. If I’m ever back in Bergen we will definitely return!

We had a delicious meal at this cafe! It was healthy and light, the perfect lunch spot for us to warm up on a drizzly, chilly day. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and was excited to offer us suggestions of places to go/see while we were visiting. We highly recommend stopping here for some delicious healthy food, coffee, pastries, whatever you might be in the mood for!

This was our second visit in a week.The food was top quality and we particularly loved the healthy options that were offered.
There was also a warm welcome from the owner,who kindly suggested which wine would accompany each dish.
We had no problem reserving a table inside and loved the local deco.
There is also local beer on tap and an extensive wine list,we particularly liked the Alice Wine.
All in all a lovely experience and definitely recommend it if you’re in town.

My daughters and I are all vegetarian and had lunch at Lovetann Cafe -middle eastern cafe. We ordered the humus plate for appetizer, falafel salads and watermelon strawberry salad. (Good for vegans) Fresh and and yummy. Also, a few menu items that include fish and bacon. We also ordered a white wine recommended by staff (Alice Verdeca - name of wine). Def recommend the wine. Also house Kambucha - we had the apricot. Dessert reviews to come, but if you are in Bergen and looking for a nice lunch/dinner def recommend this cafe.

This cosy bistro is a great spot for lunch or dinner. We were a party of six, and had dinner. We pre-booked to be sure of getting an inside table. It is very cosy inside. The service was outstanding, and the food and drinks were lovely. The menu is small which is always a good thing as it means that all the food is freshly made with care. All the meals were delicious. really carefully prepared, really good service the drinks were also distinctive . We had a ginger ale which was brewed on site, and they also had their own Kombucha.

We could not have been happier than to find this absolute gem of a cafe. As non- meat eaters, we were delighted at the options available for fresh sumptuous meals. Based on the dishes we enjoyed, I would highly recommend this cafe. Fresh asparagus soup, beautifully prepared, flavored and presented - served with delicious toasted bread. Pasta with fresh tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms, and chunks of Parmesan was superb.
