The view from the restaurant is astonishing. The food is good and uses lots of local ingredients. Ofcourse the price is high end. You pay for the view too. Ekeberg is easy to reach. Use tramlines 13 and 19.

Very nice location with a stunning view, art and nature. The restaurant staff is friendly and caring. Above all, the restaurant offers the possibility to have a 100% vegan menu, from starter to dessert ! The quality-price ratio is reasonable and the dishes are very...creative and delicious. Highly recommended !!More

This is a beautiful restaurant on one of the best locations in Oslo. The food is excellent. Unfortunately, the current staff is totally unprofessional and they made our visit there a most unpleasant experience. The wonderful food and good location dose not do the trick...when you feel unwelcome. They put the food in front of us in a most unfriendly way and barely spared us a glance otherwise. Worst experience in a long time.More

One would expect of a restaurant with a beautiful view over Oslo, to serve proportionately fine food - as they proclaim to do. Pleasantly decorated, the not-too-bright and not-too-dim lit room house windows tall windows to allow a fair view of the outside. Barely audible,...the host aspired to inform us of the night's courses - barely to avail, and of the accompanying wines - to no avail. Scepticism arose when the host interchangeably named the vegan-option dishes as vegetarian. And though I speak for the experienced vegan five-course meal, the accompanying guests called for many of the same concerns. The first course of the evening was pickled red beets topped with sunflower and walnut kernels. Upon receiving the dish, we took notice of the misplacement of the cutlery. They were not in correct order, much to our amusement. As for the dish itself it was rather disappointing - I've had better beets off a store-bought jar. I was close to feeling ridiculed. The following dish was a gazpacho for the vegans. Topped with roasted and thinly sliced almonds, the gazpacho was not as bland as it could have been. Theres is not more to say of the dish. The main course, the ratatouille, however, was delightful. Consisting mostly of mushrooms, it had enough umami to satisfy the palate without being overwhelming, elevated by soft-cored, crispy-skin new potatoes, and sweet tomatoes. The paired dressing served the dish well. This is the level og culinary experience I would expect of the establishment, and nothing less. Opting out of the cheese course, almond bread was served in its stead. Though quite crusty, fair in flavour reminiscent of marzipan - I admit bias: I really like marzipan. Topped again with sunflower and walnut kernels, crossing the dish a cloud berry curd. Though mind not quite yet made up of the pairing, a fun dish. The wine, however, did not arrive before the beginning of the next course, alongside all the previous glasses cluttering the table, demonstrating an underlying chaos with the unpreparedness of the cutlery set-up. Keeping it simple, the dessert was a single scoop of raspberry sorbet encircled with fresh berries and some mint paste. The berries as fresh as fresh could be, the dinner ended on a high note. Though - raspberry sorbet with fresh berries would hardly ever be unpalatable. Glad to have experienced the restaurant and its dinner courses, the evening a true delight in good company - be sure to bring some on your visit. And if you are a picky eater in search of true fine dining, beware: this might be hit or miss.More

Very disappointing experience. We were 6 friends that ate lunch her during a Saturday. We went here as I never tried the restaurant before. We ordered scrimp sandwich, fish soup, and clams. The sandwich had little taste and it seemed the chef didnt have much...time to prepare it nicely. Looked more like a scrimp salad with a bit of bread. The fish soup had taste but salmon in fish soup is not good as salmon has a too dominant taste. The clams were probably the only food, which was actually tasty. The service was below average and chaotic. Firstly you have to line even though you ordered a table at a specific time. From when we were sitting down it took up to 10 mins before they took our first drink order. They were not interested into selling us more to drink as we always had to signal when we wanted more. We had to ask for bread even though we all got butter and butter knives on the table. Salt and pepper was not here either. The waiter had a tendency to leave our table in the middle of the ordering. Like he suddenly had some more important things to do. It didn’t seem like he understood us. Maybe because of a Swedish-Norwegian language barrier? To his defence the acoustic is horrible. The noice level gets really high so it’s hard to hear each other talk on the table. We ended up with signaling to the apprentice-waiter that we wanted to order food. And after that several waiters came up to us and asked us if we were ready, which signals that they don’t communicate to each other. We felt bad for the apprentice as it looked like she was just thrown out there without any follow up and “in-field”- guidance. All of the waiters seems young and inexperienced. They all seemed stressed. Yes, it was a lot of guests but the restaurant was far from full. We also asked for the wine menu, which they gave us in the end. But there were no follow-up if we wanted to order some wine. I’m general a very clumsy, passive and lack of paying attention to the guest - service. Maybe the restaurant survives on the name and the location. Latter is just amazing with a view over Oslo. So maybe they don’t need to offer good food and service? Because this is a money machine anyway? Please save your money and go somewhere else. Oslo has a lot of nice restaurant where they actually care about you as guests. If you want the view, then just have a small walk up the “love”-path without having to visit the restaurant.More

This was my second time there but that was my first time for dinner. I was with a friend of mine for a day out before Oslo goes into lockdown. We both had deer meet. The food was great but it could have been better...considering their price tag but other than that we had a great evening. I would recommend this place to others who is looking for a special day out.More

This is a beautiful place overlooking Oslo. The restaurant has good standard, and a tempting menu. Nice staff and good service. However, the sound level is unpleasant with a full restaurant. The outdoor seating is great in good weather.
