Travelling solo and picked this place off T/A purely because it was close to my appartments and the heavens had opened plus the reviews read quite well. Could tell it was going to be good as there were no people around but this place was busy. To cut a long story short the service was 2nd to none, the atmosphere was convivial, and the food was just to die for, the best curry I’ve had in my life and I live close to some of the curry capitals of uk - Leicester & Birmingham. Two things in particular I picked up on ...1) the dining plates arrived hot - so many places are let down by this basic omission, and 2) not a single diner had to open the door for themselves when leaving, the guy who I’m assuming was the owner would open the door and thank each one individually for coming.
Absolutely top marks !

Four of us went here on Thursday February 6th, after reading the excellent reviews on line. I have to state first of all that I am quite particular about my Asian cuisine, as I grew up in Birmingham with a wide range of friends from all nationalities and Asian cuisine is a real passion for me, I grow my own chillies and only use fresh ingredients and recipes passed to me by my good friends.
Firstly, I would advise you to book, we went at 6.30 on a Thursday night in the winter and it was busy when we got there. By the time we had been seated and placed our drinks order people were queuing for tables, a testament to how popular this place is.
Staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful, what I really liked was that there was a wide range of specials aswell as a very comprehensive menu, some dishes I had never heard of, even with my wide experience of Asian cuisine.
My chicken 65 starter was one of the most exquisite dishes I've ever tasted, it is quite a spicy dish, although not just hot for the sake of being hot.
Every one of us was absolutely delighted with our experience and we will definitely be back again when we are here in August, although I will remember to book first.
Our only regret is that due to the fact that he was so unbelievably busy we didn't get a chance to thank the owner, Raj for a fantastic evening, so, thank you Raj, you and your staff gave us a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back again.

When you find a place where the ambiance and decoration is excellent, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is AWESOME you have to give it five stars and recommend it to everyone you know who enjoys Indian food.
This is a genuine Indian Restaurant with a Tandoor that uses charcoal and chefs from India plus an owner who is passionate about serving all kinds of Indian cuisine with a number of Southern Indian standards plus the regular Northern Indian/ Bangladeshi standards so well known in the UK.
Order the heat/intensity to suit your taste buds - from mild to wild..
There are so many positives that we just simply go as often as possible and take friends at every opportunity.
Please go as it’s easy to find by car or foot and it gives great value fo money when you get this quality of food.

Arrived early and there was only 5 other people in the restaurant
Ordered our food and drinks and after 20 mins they arrived with some free popadoms. After a further 45 mins our starters arrived those were ok. After another hour our mains arrived I had ordered a vindaloo and have eaten this curry all over the world but this curry was so hot I couldn't even finish it. I questioned this and was told a vindaloo is hot
We ordered 2 Tia Mia coffees only to be served with gone off milk
The whole night was a waste of time the bill was €70 and they are lucky I didn't walk out without paying
If your in paphos I suggest there are at least 5 other places that are 10 times better than this place
I will not be back

I have just had the second very poor but expensive delivered meal from the Curry House. Once I can forgive as we all have bad days and I have eaten such good food in the restaurant but having recommended it to a friend, I was embarrassed by the quality of the food we received. The butter chicken was 5 pieces of chicken in what tasted like thin, tinned tomato soup. The peshwari naan was as tough as old boots and I very much doubt that it was made today. On the website it stated 10% off for takeaway meals and free delivery on orders over €25. We paid €45 plus a tip and were charged €2 for delivery and the 10% off was nowhere to be seen!! If the food had been good, the rest would have been forgiven. Very disappointed!!!

We are extremely surprised you read anywhere we provide free delivery. 10% on Take Away orders over 25euros - Yes but not free delivery. We are sorry you did not like our food but we can assure you butter chicken was not cooked from a tin and peshwari bread was made fresh to your order. 5 pieces od chicken is a standard main portion. Unfortunately we do not accept this review as genuine opinion - you have been disappointed for not getting your food almost free so you decided to rage about the quality - but thousand other people who reviewed our restaurant cannot be that wrong...

I’ll start at the beginning. I booked a a reservation at this restaurant for 2 people at 7.30 pm. I arrived at 7.25pm only to told that no reservation had been made, when I told him that I had he said to me what time did I call to book I told him at 5pm after looking again at the booking sheet he said oh yes I now have found it.
He seated us at table behind a table of eight who were so load and irritating that we had to ask to be moved. We ordered our meal which took over 45 minutes to come and when it did the food was was chilli hot that it was almost uneatable. We managed to eat part of it after mixing plain yogurt with it and left more than half of the food. When we complained we were told that we should have asked to have it made mild. With no apology. All I have to say is we wasted 50 euro’s on complete rubbish food and they even had the cheek to ask if wanted to take it away the more then half of the food. Why in hell would we want to take a way the food that was rubbish in the first place. We will most certainly never be going there again. I advise if you do go there make sure your getting what you ask for otherwise just refuse and send it back, I wish we did that but not sure what kind of reaction we would have got. We were certainly not going to ruin our holiday over a stupid ill mannered restaurant.

Dear Customer,
At the beginning We would like to apologize for the error at the entrance. As you noticed we were very busy at this moment which made our staff bit confuse. During the rush hours the waiting time might be bit longer than usual but definitely not 45min - since you had your starters before anyway.
We checked your order and you choose chicken 65 which is very clear in the menu marked as HOT same as Chilly Chicken you had for your mains. We cannot apology for the fact that something that is clearly stated as HOT is actually hot. Authentic Indian cuisine is HOT and we have plenty of mild and medium dishes - but when you choose hot - difficult to expect to be mild. We have very clear description with pictures! to explain every each dish so the customers.
It is only our goodwill we offer to the customers to take leftovers as take away - most of the customers they do appreciate that.
We wish you a pleasant holidays in Cyprus!

First impressions, it was quite busy, which is usually a good sign, our drinks order was taken quicklt and the drinks arrived quickly, i tried to ask the lady for food aswell but was informed she only does the drinks orders.
The table was very sticky, i could barely move my coaster, and avoided my arms touching it at all costs.
10 mins passed and still no one came to take our food order but i kept telling my partner theyre busy and theyll come soon
After 25 mins still no one came to take our order, so i waved the drinks lady over and asked if i could order our food now, to which she literally ran away (im guessing it was her job to notify the food man when new people arrive)
The man came and took our order, its now been another 40 minutes and we dont have our food yet.
So we arrived before 9, and its not 10pm, which is supposed to be the time they shut, and we still dont even have our food yet.
Food came eventually, was nice, nothing amazing, I'd rather have just gotten a microwave meal for the price we had paid though.
Will not be visiting again, all in all disappointing.
Drinks also arent on the menu so you dont know the prices, and the water they offer you is another €2.70.

I thought it was time to write a review for this fantastic restaurant. We have tried many Indian and Chinese restaurants in paphos and have mostly been disappointed. As Scots with a huge Indian community in Glasgow we are spoiled for choice when it comes to Indian food. However, after a recommendation we decided to give it one last chance. I am so glad we did and that we found this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were were lovely. Service can be a bit slow at times but it is usually busy and as we are there for the evening anyway it really didn't matter to us. Everything was fresh and tasty, decent sized portions and of course they will happily box up leftovers to take home. We would never consider going to any other Indian restaurant now. The owner is a delightful man who makes a point of welcoming and saying goodbye to his guests.. Well done curry house. You are the best!!

We do not generally eat in many restaurants which do not serve local when we are abroad on holiday, but for some reason we fancied an Indian meal. After some enquiries we were recommended Curry House which is away from the main restaurants and bars in Paphos.
A large restaurant situated on a corner site it offered an extensive menu of the usual Indian dishes but with sufficient alternatives to make it interesting. There was also a brief explanation giving some history behind their "specials" I ordered Andhru Pulusu which was quite hot and with a tamarind sauce while my partner opted for the more standard Dhupiaza. Two very generous portions of rice were complemented by Bombay Aloo and Onion Bhaji, nothing too adventurous there, but worth mentioning that the former was particularly good. The food was served piping hot by the friendly and helpful staff, and with a couple of large beers came to 50 euros. Check it out if you enjoy a curry.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy you found us and enjoyed our Specials - particularly great choice ordering Andhra Pulusu originated from my state - very favorite in my childhood.
I really understand you - local food always good to try but nothing can beat Indian flavors :)
Enjoy your Holidays and hope to see you soon !

Finding an Indian restaurant that serves quality Indian food is much more difficult in Cyprus than it is in the UK. We went here on the recommendation of a British work colleague who assured me it was the best they had tried in Cyprus.
We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The Andhra Pulusu curry with king prawns and tarka daal had layers of flavour, the naan breads were fresh, soft and fluffy and the chicken tikka masala was rich, creamy with balanced flavours of yoghurt and tomato. The mango kulfi we had for desert was also made in-house and was superb.
In terms of food quality, this place easily competes with most of the higher-end Indian restaurants I've tried in the UK. The only conceivable detractor was the wait time for the food which was around half an hour, but this personally wasn't a problem because we weren't in any rush and the food was worth the wait. Will definitely return for a curry fix!

We were originally looking to book The Marakesh restaurent in Paphos but it was closed on the Monday so opted for The Curry House as we wanted some spicy food.
When you first walk into the restaurent you have a good feel about the place and there there were a number of diners in the restaurent.
We opted for mains only all the food was well presented and the flavours were to the highest standard.
If you are looking for a nice restaurent to visit in Paphos then you won't be disappointed with this choice.

This is a cosy lively restaurant with great staff nothing is to much troiuble. Seated just across from us was a family with very young child who clearly loved thier curry. Wine and beers are varied and there is plenty of soft drinks to.
There was a nice touch having stuffed ourselves on startes and popadoms as you do we were offered a break before the mains that was a very good idea.It made you feel you were here for the whole evening nothing rushed.
The food is sublime oh my a proper curry, onion Bhajis yum etec etc. The best I have had since I came to Cyprus. I love this place.

Thank you very much Mike, we are extremely happy you have enjoyed your evening @CurryHouse. We always try to guess the preferences to give the best choice and recommend something new to surprise our customers. There is so many dishes unknown here - best example that almost 7 years we do our Indian Food Festivals to promote new flavors and never repeat any :) If you ever have a chance to be around you must definitely attend one of our buffet nights.
Wishing you a Superb Summer we hope to see you again!

A fantastic restaurant with an extensive menu offering great choice and especially important to me, the ability to order your meal cooked to the level of spice you want.
Very genuine food that reflects a southern India theme but also the types of food that Brits think of as Indian food ( Bangladeshi) usually enjoyed in UK restaurants.
It gives a British tourist the opportunity to try a new style of cooking and some dishes that may never have been tasted before.
It is obvious that the food has been cooked in a genuine Tandoori charcoal fired oven and not the more commonly found gas fired one found in so many other restaurants.
Home made pickles and chutneys are a real treat and complimentary.
The naan bread has got to be the best ever !!!!
The service is very efficient and friendly without being overly attentive
