We celebrated my sisters wedding reception in the private dining area. The decor was stunning they placed our personal favours on the table amongst the table settings provided by the restaurant and it looked gorgeous. The food was delicious it gave us the opportunity to...taste new dishes and it seemed never ending. The staff were so attentive, they even helped make a makeshift cot for one of the children to have a nap. The entertainment rounded of the evening perfectly, we loved it and got right in on the action having a bash at the dancing, smashed some plates with a conga to end the evening. Loved it !More

We found Nancy and the windmill through social media having never visited Cyprus and booking our wedding there. After realising the rising adds on costs to arrange a wedding through TUI the windmill became our top choice. Nancy was amazing throughout the planning process and...always replied promptly to any queries. We had a meeting with Nancy at the restaurant when we arrived and instantly felt like we'd made a new friend. She was soo helpful, positive about our wedding, gave us countless options of food, drinks and decor and had literally thought of everything. Nancy arranged for us to be picked up from our hotel on the white open top wedding bus with music and drinks on board. This was a surprise to most of our guests and was so much fun. When we arrived at the restaurant I was gobsmascked at how beautifully she had decorated our space with glass, candles greenery, lights and giant love letters. We also chose to have a mix of chocolate and vanilla wedding cake. Wow never tasted anything like it. The whole thing was beautiful. Then started the food. Omg it just kept coming. There was something to suit everything.... Even fussy eaters. Lentils, couscous, dips, pitta, moussaka, pork, chicken, sausages, potatoes you name it we ate it. Best meal of the holiday without a doubt. Nancy also arranged greek dancers to perform and got the entire family involved. What an experience, I've never seen anything like it. Even the plate smashing took a turn when I got to smash some on my new husband's head haha. If you are looking for somewhere to visit for a meal or want to say "I Do" in Paphos the windmill should be your first contact you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to return to Paphos for years to come and will always visit Nancy and the windmill who have such a special space in my heart. Thank you for a day I'll never forget. Best wedding I've ever been to. And will never be at another like it..... Thanks to you. XxxMore

Tuesday night, didn’t have booking but managed to get a table. Fantastic service. Delicious food. Would 100% recommend. Talked me through gluten free options, there were lots and they understood what being coeliac actually means. Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Would recommend...booking if larger table.More

If you'd like to awaken your tastebuds, then wander away from the tourist traps by the water, up into the streets and find yourself in the authentic taverna that is windmill. The people working there genuinely seem pleased to see you, and everyone is smiling,(that...sounds cliche, but it's true. Don't believe me? Ask for Nancy, she emanates good cheer, such a nice woman!), and the reason? They KNOW the food is good. So yeah, about the food. The FOOD! The food is like fireworks, (delightful fireworks) unforgettable fireworks. We chose a selection of starters, each of which was better than the last (baked feta and zucchini balls for example) and blew our hungry little minds! We had had no room for the baklava cheesecake (but aim to return for before leaving Paphos. The stew as well!) That said, enough listening to me, just book a table, Εντάξει? Experience the fireworks yourself.More

Amazing meal. We had the mezze as a way to try a range of traditional food. All of it was perfectly cooked and the staff gradually brought out the food allowing for breathing room. We enjoyed the family history of the place and finding out...about the pudding being a family recipe.More

We haven't been to Cyprus since 2008 which is the last time we ate in this restaurant and although Paphos has undergone massive changes it is nice to see that one place as remained the same The Windmill Restaurant. Back in 2008 this place served...good food and it still does. We had had enough of our hotel evening meals and hopped on the bus twice on the off chance the staff at the restaurant could accommodate us which they did (It's best to book as it is very popular). The food and staff were excellent it is just so disappointing that so many of the Cypriot Tavernas have now disappeared or changed due to modernisation, but such is life. My advice if you want good Cypriot food come to this restaurant.More
