Went for a cocktail. What a cute sitting area to have a drink and watch the world go by. Couldn’t have been happier that we stumbled upon this place.

Unlike some of the more trendy eateries in Reykjavik, which boast dark interior and eccentric decor, Solon is unmissable. Though the address is Bankatraeti, it's actually straddling Laugavegur, and if you have a window seat, you look straight along Skolavoedurstiga and Hallgrimskirkja. We tried Solon...More
It was a lovely experience in Solon. It's in the center of market. The atmosphere inside was cozy, a band was playing upstairs. Perfect to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. Amazing food. Chef suggested local cuisines in fish and lamb, both were great.

The chef remains a talent to reckon with! Fish of the day - devine. Lamb filet - so flavoursome. Front of house team very friendly - muchos gracias y hasta luego!
We had a late breakfast at Solon, just after they opened at 11. The waitress was extremely friendly. The coffee was very good and my eggs benedict were really nice. Solon Bistro is a nice place with cool nordic atmosphere.
The staff is pleasant, the location is terrific, and the food was good. Prices are about the same as the cafes and bistros in town - pricey but you can get a reasonable meal.
Great food and good location on the corner. Have eaten here multiple times over the years and always impressed. My son was here 3 years ago and thought it was the best food ever..this is from the most finicky eater in the world.
Lovely atmosphere, good service, excellent food! Lamb filet was magnificent. Located on the main drag, we were glad to see that the tourist location didn't mean the food was sub-par.
This restaurant was recommended by the hotel. When travelling we typically use tripadvisor for recommenations. Solun Bistro should definitely be higher. For an expensive city, food was delicious and reasonably priced.
