Well, this is a hotel bar. When it first opened it was a place for people to get cocktails, not it's more of a hotel bar. It's a very nice bar, nothing more to say.

I live near this restaurant, and have always passed by it, but today I had a chance to try it out with a group from work. The food was reasonably good. But despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty, the service was very,...More

My son and I visited twice on our recent visit to Reykjavik. The three cheese charcuterie with walnuts and honey was delicious! Great selection of beers, friendly service and live music on Wednesday nights.

Nice atmosphere. Great staff. Good food. Bring Money. Lot's of money. We found Reykjavik food and drink prices to be high in general. Slippbarinn is higher priced than that.

We stopped here for breakfast, there are two options, a full breakfast buffet for 3,300 Íkr ($23.44 USD) per person or an a la carte menu, which is what we opted for. We had two delicious ham & cheese croissants (made on a panini press),...More

Very nice bar, good mixed drinks. Kitchen isn't bad, but some things may not be what you expect, e.g., a goat cheese/pesto "flatbread" was actually a salad piled on top of a grilled flatbread.
