Love the little tables. Delicious waffle and swiss mocha. Not many more hearty food options though. Apparently the oldest coffee shop in Reykjavik.

Being a self professed coffee addict, I had searched for all the best coffee shops in Reykjavik, and was determined to try them all. This proved easier than we thought as coffee was always a good idea in order to get out of the cold!...More

I visited Moka in 2015 and wanted to return. I am glad to say they haven't changed anything and it retains its character. You see such an interesting mix of customers ... The bonus this time was an exhibition of photographs. The coffee is good...More

A simple, classy quiet place to enjoy a fine cup of coffee. Prices are a bit high but its worth it for the comfortable quiet environment. And the coffee is absolutely top notch.

We came into Mokka Kaffi for a snack on our last day in Reykjavik. I was pretty full from breakfast still but my sister needed to have their waffles before we left for the airport. We came in about 11am and there were two other...More

Popped in as a shelter from the rain and we wanted a coffee break - glad we did. The service was friendly; not the quickest - but we weren't in a hurry. The interior is very dark and basic, but it felt good, had a...More

We tried the waffle as everyone recommended. Yes they are pretty good. The only drawback of this place is the seating area (not as comfortable as Kaffitar) and also no free wifi

Also, the cafe mocha was one of the best I've had too! Hoping to find this place. I still have the receipt but some of it is not understandable for me.

An Icelandic tradition since 1958. Mokka is one of Reykjavik's oldest cafés and the first to install an espresso machine and serve espresso, cappuccino, and café latte in Iceland. There's a tempting selection of sandwitches, cakes, and the coffee and hot chocolate are excllent with their famous house waffles, served with cream and jam. The déckor - red carpet, leatherette booths and stools - hasn't changed much althought the art on the walls is changed every 4-6 weeks as the café has doubled as an Art gallery with new art for sale since opening.
