We stumbled onto the Bernhoftsbakari down by the waterfront by accident. A longstanding bakery in Rekjavik, they have great breads and pastries - bet you can't buy just one! Down the hill a few blocks from Laugavegur (100?). Highly recommended.

Great bakery with a good selection. We ordered a couple of filled bread rolls which were excellent and were still tasting great when eaten on our tour a number of hours later.

We came all the way from New York to get married in Iceland. We bought our cake at Bernhoftsbakari and the service and the quality was outstanding. The baker Sigurdur Mar and his staff really made our day remarkable.

We went for coffee and cakes, and they were amazing!! We had Icelandic Skyr cakes and espresso. It was very busy, so might have to wait for few mins but it’s big enough to move quickly. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend it.

This oldest bakery in Reykjavik is Classic and like a symbol of Reykjavik. I have been a customer of this bakery for almost 50 years. Try the Kleina and Florentinas who are one of a kind.

I fell in love with this bakery completely. They offer great quality products, but also nice story of this company. I tried different kinds of bread and sweets. My favorite bread is with curry and cranberries and my new addiction is on kleina. Everyone have...More
