Food was good but nothing to special … prices are very high but that’s common in Iceland. The toilette is a joke (1 fits all) but really disappointing was the service .. not inspired and mainly not very friendly ..

The food was delicious and loved the atmosphere. A little bit of a line to get a table but worth it.

Food was delicious! A bit expensive for the breakfast but we also did takeout pastries that were delicious. Only took a star off for the very slow breakfast service. It took over 30 minutes after being seated just to get our drink order put in.

We decided to have brunch at Sandholt before we went on a tour. Despite being extremely busy inside, we were greeted promptly and given menus to view before being seated. We decided to have the Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich and the Avocado Open Sandwich....Both dishes were beautifully presented and refreshing to eat. Unfortunately, when taking into account the prices of both meals, the portion sizes were a bit small and did not leave either of us feeling full afterwards. A lovely place to visit in Iceland with a good ambience and fresh food.More

Perfect breakfast to fill you up and stay the day right. I got the waffle with eggs and bacon, and it was a lot of food. I was almost too full to finish it. The staff was friendly and patient. I'll definitely be going back.

Drawn in by a large crowd. The smell of the fresh bread and pastry was incredible. We stopped to get a coffee to warm up and ended up back every day.

This was the perfect place to start our Icelandic adventure. The salmon sandwich was tremendous! Others in the party enjoyed the avocado toast. The service was friendly and efficient.

Very nice cafe and bread sale with a really good selection for breakfast. Good coffee and amazing sourdough bread. They also have a large selection of morning and afternoon cakes. Friendly staff and fast service.

Don't be put off by the long line waiting for a seat, the line moves pretty quickly, and then you'll be rewarded with some excellent food. Of course we had some of the sweet pastries, but we started with some heartier fare, the shakshuka and...mushroom grilled cheese sandwich. Others had the smoked salmon (my 2nd choice). The bread is excellent, if that's all you want. We came here after arriving from the airport, all jet lagged and needing quick sustenance. As I said, there was a wait but it was worth it.More

The salmon and cream cheese breakfast sandwich was delicious! My husband got one of the eclairs and wanted to immediately go back and get another, if only the line wasn't so long

Wow - these pastries are just amazing! And the staff couldn’t be nicer. Try the Kleina (Icelandic doughnut), brown sugar bun, and our favorite - the apple danish. Also had sit down brunch - nice selections.

Lovely find in Reykjavic. Great coffee, wide range of delicious chocolates and pastries. Very popular with locals and tourists. Lunch menu was a little limited in choice, but we enjoyed the coffee and sweet treats.

Fantastic sourdough breads. We and our friends took three loaves of the wheat sourdough with pumpkin and melon seeds home to the U.S.

This place was recommended by locals, no doubt because it's run by a fourth generation of excellent bakers. Your appetite is whetted when you come in the door and smell the bakery which you pass through on your way to the dining room. The menu...was so tempting we had trouble making up our minds, but at the waiter's suggestion we both ordered the fish sandwich with roasted potatoes. I believe the fish was Arctic char which tasted so fresh it may well have been caught that morning! Our waiter was friendly and efficient, and I wanted to taste everything in those tantalizing bakery display cases. The best lunch we had in Reykjavik!More

Like most food in Iceland, it's expensive. 2 coffees, 2 cappucino and two muffins was about $30 USD
