We had just had free lamb soup on the street,to celebrate the first day of winter, and we were a bit out of wack having just landed. I had heard about the rye bread, and it was moist, flavorful, and quite filling. The artwork in the restaurant was...More

Visited this cafe after visiting the 'Hallgrimskirkja'. Made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the speciality - 'Rye Bread Ice Cream'.

We ate here twice on our recent short visit to Reykjavik. The welcome is warm & friendly, & the food delicious.there is a good selection of traditional Icelandic dishes to choose from. The meat soup is particularly good.

We decided to stop at Cafe Loki after visiting Hallgrímskirkja. We sat by the window on the bitterly cold and snowy autumble day. We wanted to try some of the 'traditional' things so we got the dried fish, fermented shark and the meat soup. The...More

We ate here after a visit to the cathedral across the street. The views of the church are amazing, and the atmosphere inside the cafe is really cute. I had the pancake plate, which was very tasty. It’s a nice spot for lunch, and fairly...More

We stopped here on a wet Friday, after a lovely sunny week. The welcoming was less than warm but the hot chocolate and carrot cake made up for it. My daughter had the skyr filled pancake and a kids hot chocolate - again no complaints...More

We visited this cafe while waiting for an excursion- friendly staff, and nice traditional food. It’s a convenient place to use if you are waiting to be collected as is near to bus stop number 8 which is the main one in the city centre

Reykjavik is not the best city for parking. Most of it is street parking, and you'll need to buy a permit at the kiosk. If you're not impaired, walking is usually faster and less frustrating.

Cafe Loki offer Icelandic meat soup, Icelandic sample plates, homemade bread and cakes. Icelandic traditional homemade dishes are our specialty. You can taste fermented shark and dried fish but Icelandic meat soup and our Icelandic plates are most popular among the Rye Ice cream and Skyr cake. Beautiful view over Reykjavik, Hallgrimskirkja church and to mountain Blafjoll. Icelandic food.
