Relaxing little cafe with a crash course in traditional Icelandic dishes. Tried the Bravehart plate and was blown away. They turned us onto skyyr, which we now use at home as a yogurt/sour cream substitute. Super nice folks and great music.

Very specialist Icelandic foods. Maybe not for everybody but what we had was brilliant. The meat soup (which they have everyday) was packed with lamb and vegetables. Staff were very helpful and when we asked them about the time of the sightseeing bus they looked...More

We sat upstairs by the window and we had a lovely view of Hallgrimskirkja. The menu was a small selection but full of local Icelandic food. A lot of fish, so if you don’t like fish don’t come here! I’m not the biggest fan of...More

We just learned about The delicious Icelandic rye bread on this trip. Imagine our surprise to find an ice cream dessert that incorporated it! Delicious!

The cafe was clean and well presented and staff were friendly and polite. The food however was not for us, we were disappointed with the standard of the food and were very put off by the overpowering smell of some of the foods.

Just what I wanted - a small, friendly cafe opposite the Hallgrímskirkja. It was early evening when I was there and I just wanted something small to eat but you could have a full meal if this was preferred. Traditional Icelandic food is served (fermented...More

This was an okay lunch, traditional islandic food which was prepared well. After not having any average meals, this was our first one in 5 days, I would not recommend given what else is available. My husband agrees

Reykjavik is not the best city for parking. Most of it is street parking, and you'll need to buy a permit at the kiosk. If you're not impaired, walking is usually faster and less frustrating.
