I could have gone with 4 stars but there’s lots of competition and well, it’s not always about the food. The food was excellent, don’t get me wrong. Kale soup, gulash soup and Mushroom burger all very well made and presented. Unique dishes. A nice...More

This place is totally unique and couldn’t have been more perfect. The pulled pork and mushroom burgers were large and delicious and the service fantastic (thank you to the brilliant and lovely Brazilian waitress). We took our little girl with us who had great fun...More

Cosy place with tasty meals. Took salmon with poached egg on spinach and bread. Served with an avocado salad.

Very good food, nice ambience and friendly service. Had pulled pork which was very nice. On the menu was described in English as pulled pork with bread, cheese, pickles etc .... didn’t expect a burger with chips but was very nicely done and delicious.

Tiny cozy place in the heart of old Stockholm, Gamla Stan. It has just several tables on two open levels, sweet vintage decorations with vinyl records, draperies and pillows. Menu contains small but nice choice of pretty healthy meals, cooking is very fast. Salmon was...More

We took a stroll around Gamla Stan and decided on Matgatan 22 due to the good reviews here and on Yelp. It was a little confusing to know how their system worked. There are tables inside on an elevated platform, some seating outside, and some...More

I was looking for a cool place to try a traditional brunch when I discovered this little gem. They’re offering lunch (although one can consider it to be brunch) and they have a great selection of local flavors. The menu is rich but no exhaustive,...More

Stopped here for a late lunch, the dishes are all reasonably priced, which is a contrast to many tourist traps in the area! The service was great, friendly, nothing is too much trouble! I had the avocado salad and loved it! Pleasantly surprised at the...More

My friends and I ate here twice it was so good. The food is organic, local and fresh and they can easily accommodate gluten free or vegan. The bouillabaisse was creamy and tasty; the salads bright and crisp; the mushroom burger very flavorful. Wines were...More

This street has suddenly popped up as a food street, and we are happy about that. There's always been a couple of cafés on Stora Nygatan which basically do the same: baguette, pie, salad. Now there's much more to choose from and we're glad to...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
