Bel Punto is an Italian fine dining restaurant that has been nestled in the heart of the North Coast town of Umdloti since 2004. Opening out on an expansive deck overlooking the Indian Ocean, a day or evening at Bel Punto can be rated amongst the most exceptional dining experiences in South Africa today. Part of the experience is the ever-present chance of sighting a pod of dolphins playing in the crisp surf and sunset drinks at Bel Punto are not to be missed. Great venue and food

This spot continues to be the best in Durban and is world class as always.We have tried to veer away from our favorite dishes in the last couple of visits and have not been disappointed.

DISAPPOINTING

Heard so much about this restaurant but we found the experience underwhelming Portions were small. Steak in sauce starter disappointing, Kingklip was tasty but dish incomplete, roasted vegetables basic and cherry dessert terrible. Waiters were charming but service slow Overpriced

Quality food, but very pricey

The location is nice, the service is friendly and professional, the food is very good and fresh, but 400R for the catch of the day and a 250ml sparkling water... That was nicely cooked, but the price are definitely too high. I wouldn't have minded...to have a desert, but I was scared for my wallet. I'm used to spend money for fine dining, but then, I have more.More

Umdloti Gem

Best Seaview for enjoying seafood in the greater Durban area. Had a great line fish and prawn combo. Service was on point.

A go to place

Always a good experience here, the service was good, the food is good, the view is good! What’s not to like! I would recommend especially on a nice summers day. Huge selection of wines and spirts.

When you pay the prices that you do at Bel Punto then it better be good. Well done guys, it was way better than good. Outstanding does not even come close. But I have to say, even better than the food was the service. Well...done Trevor on making the experience even better.More

Superbe

We travel a lot; we eat out a lot and have eaten seafood préparer in many countries, many ways. Our lunch was superb- from someone not prone to superlatives. The crayfish was sweet, juicy; the langoustine as well. Absolutely divine. Service is excellent, delicious flat...bread, splendid view. A memorable meal!More

Excellent place with a Heavenly View

What a fantastic place and what an amazing location! The food is amazing..the service is fantastic..the owner is friendly and always welcoming..the staff is great. I have been visiting this restaurant since almost 8 years now and nothing has changed..except that it keeps getting better...and better and improving on every forte..one of the finest restaurants I have been to in Durban..with an amazing view and service! Twice for dinner

We ate two times at bel punto because, so we came back because it was great - both times. We had salad, mussels, different pasta dishes and dessert. Not to forget - great wine. It looked and tasted great. The staff is very kind and...good too. Sowesto served our table and we had a great time with this humorous guy.More

Excellent!

Professional operation with great food and wonderful views. Fish & chips as well as my calamari and Greek salad were perfectly prepared. Friendly, professional staff and owner.

Would give 6 stars if I could! AMAZING!!

Everything was just amazing! Starting with an outstanding service by our waiter Mozus who recommended the best calamari dish I’ve ever had and a great white wine to go with the calamari. Food was soo good, I would definitely come back again and would recommend...this restaurant to anybody visiting Umdloti!More

Just delicious!

We ate 2 nights here during our stay in Umdloti and both our dinners were simply delicious! Great atmosphere and lovely views over the sea. Our waiter was Trevor and he took great care of us! When we will come back to Umdloti we'll definitely...eat here again!More

Great view, service and most importantly food !

We have visited bel punto about 5 times and will most certainly be back. Our waitress Jubilee was an absolute gem! She made the best menu recommendations. I truly appreciated her warmth and helpfulness. The food was as always well presented and delicious. If you...are looking for the most amazing seafood with a great view ...bel punto is definitely a must.More

Best meal

Well I’m pretty lost for words. We were recommended this place by trip advisor and were not disappointed. From starters to dessert this has been our best meal in our trip to Cape Town and Durban. The staff were amazing. Shout out to Trevor and...Cindy. Crikey I hope I get back here soonMore
