Went there with family to enjoy a dinner. We had booked over the phone few days before, specifically asking for a place as near as possible to the sea. We got oral confirmation that we would get it. When arrived in the restaurant on the...day and on time, we were told that we didn’t mention anything about table choices, and we were given a random table, as this was the “best we can do” option according to the owner. Later, we were told from nearby tables that apparently someone well-known in Greece was eating at the same time with us, having occupied a number of front row tables, allowing limited space for everyone else. I do believe the restaurant owners “forgot” our request when the celebrity arrived, thus we got demoted to a worse table than asked deliberately. Food was nice overall, but we didn’t feel we got treated with hospitality nor honesty, so we left zero tip.More

This is a special place for our family- my dad's favourite restaurant. Not only for the amazing food but because Mrs. Eleni (the owner), her family and her team make him feel like a king and I am so grateful to them. He goes with...his friends, with me, even with his grandsons and we all love it. Nice decor, beautiful view and each dish is superb.More

This restaurant came highly recommended to us by our hotel host. The food was good, and the location was absolutely perfect for a fish restaurant - overlooking fishing boats, and close to the sea. The service was quite possibly the worst service we have ever...received. The staff were rude. And it appeared that everything was an effort for them. (We we’re just a young couple enjoying a few drinks and food after all) When asking one waiter about how interesting and fascinating the wine tasted, they rolled their eyes and snapped the name of the grape variety. Such a shame that we were treated so badly, as it was a lovely restaurant but the rudeness really ruined the evening - a treaty one at that.More

TL;DR: Nice fish restaurant off the beaten track, excellent starter/salad and fresh fish, cooked to perfection. Recommended! According to our host (Vrachokipos), Kavouropetra means 'Crab Stone', he recommended it to us. The restaurant is located near a large (sail) boat storage and maintenance area between...Aegina and (closer to) Souvala. If you go there around dusk you will see some interesting and beautiful views on the way. We walked there from Souvala, but this is only recommended during daylight, as there are almost no pedestrian walkways on the island. My wife and I were there for dinner on 2020-09-07, at the end of tourist season, in Covid times. When we arrived there was still a little light, and we got a nice table outside, close to the little harbor. The restaurant offers meat and fish dishes and also a range of salads (so vegan/vegetarian guests also have nice options). As starters, we ordered Talagani (a fried cheese with a red tomato/pepper-based sauce) and a Rocket salad (with tomato, soft cheese, pistachio, oil and balsamic vinegar). For the main dish we were invited into the kitchen to choose fresh fish from the chiller - my wife went with a local kind of gander, I went for a portion of fresh mackerel (two not too large ones). The quality and freshness of the produce met what we hoped for - honest, real, fresh, good food, well made, and for a fair price. The starter was new to me, I liked this fried cheese a lot, especially with the nice sauce. The rocket salad was a pleasant surprise - cram-packed with flavor, using local pistachios for an extra twist. This was nicely accompanied by the tasty and fresh bread that came with our water and the cutlery. The Gander-like fish had a wonderful almost-creamy texture and a fine subtle taste underlined by the provided (almost vinaigrette-like) lemon-based sauce. The mackerel was exactly what I had hoped for, fresh, nicely fried, a bit crispy on the outside, just with seasoning and a slice of lemon. The balance of the whole meal was just perfect. We drank a large bottle of water (as one does in the Greek summer), and my wife had an Alpha beer, and I had small bottle of local ouzo (you drink it with ice and water, and we took about half of the 200ml bottle with us back to the hotel). The menu has lots of other (beer, wine, soda) options, but this is what we felt like on that day. A small extra highlight for me was the nice, fresh bread we got with the meal. I love bread, and it was great to have a very good one to mop up the salad and fish juices. Yum! The restaurant met all Covid requirements with regard to staff wearing masks, keeping distance, floor marking, cleanliness, etc. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay.More

We went two nights in a row, the food is absolutely wonderful and the ambiance is simply perfect. Seafood is fresh and delicious as is the wine. Family owned for 40 years, you must visit this restaurant, you won't regret it. Panagiotis is the Chef...and his Mother Elena & Father Vasilis are always there to welcome you.More

One of the best traditional greek food i ever ate, and i have been travelling to Greece for over 25 years. FOOD to consider ordering: - katzoules - small fresh caught golden fish, white flesh that melts into your mouth. - small fresh fried shrimps...that you eat whole like potatoe chips - sardines on the grill that the Chef makes sure to remove all the tiny bones so that they can be eaten whole, great taste. - almira, a type of green salad that goes well with all main courses, comes sith olive oil and lemon. - steak and t bone, juicy, tasty, it surprises you. - calamari fresh caught, on the grill or fried, i personally love them fried. - big shrimps on small, rice like pasta. - white and rose inhouse made wine is good, not exelent. Prices are fair, and the View is unique, sun sets in front of the terrace at about 8 pm in august.More

We visited the restaurant with my partner and two kids for dinner. Location is nice, in a little harbor, but the surroundings are not lit,so it’s just black if you go after sunset. That’s not the restaurant’s fault, I’m just mentioning it. Food is seafood...oriented but it offers few other options as well. We’re not seafood eaters so we tried the following: Greek salad, salad with rocket tomato cheese and balsamic (interesting but we would prefer it with mixed greens, as rocket on its own has a very intense flavor), cheese saganaki, rooster with tomato sauce and spaghetti (that was really good), veal patty, and chicken fillet (that was undercooked but we already put lemon on it so we didn’t ask them to re-grill it). Overall nothing worth mentioning, but their speciality is seafood so maybe we didn’t taste the best of their menu. Service was fast but basic, not polite smiling or pleasant. The owner, mrs Eleni, accidentally hit my daughter that was playing with other kids (in an area without tables or customers) and instead of apologizing gave her a strict look. The restaurant was recommended to us from our hotel owner but overall I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m sure there are far better options at this price range.More

This restaurant is located in a nice area , close to the sea. We had fresh fish , which took them a long time to serve it to us. The food was good though. Unfortunately at the end they have asked us if we want...a receipt for our bill. For this reason alone we will not visit the restaurant again.More

We have been going to Aegina and this restaurant for more than 10 years and the food has always been super. It is actually better the last years as the owner's son took over the cooking and he is a professional chef. The food is...not fancy or fusion, it is authentic and simple Greek kitchen. We love the fish, the hand cut fried potatoes, the crab salad and others. You definitely need a car or taxi to get there but it is only 10min by car from Aigina port and it is worthy. The location is beautiful. Definitely call to reserve on weekends.More
