A most delightful lunch at this special venue this past week. It was the perfect combination of a delicious meal, friendly and professional service, a wonderful view and a great ambience. It is my second visit to Spice at this venue and it keeps getting...better. A mere 14 minutes from King Shaka International Airport makes this a must-do in Durbs. Our waiters (two brothers) were attentive and welcoming and the Manager/ Owner (who's name I sadly did not ask for) was accommodating and gracious from the time we arrived until we left. Thank you for a memorable afternoon.More

4 guests all had a very good meal. A variety of salads were ordered as a starter which were all delicious. The only complaint being that the salads were too large. Maybe half portions could be on offer? The main course of duck was lightly...over cooked but tasty. The cabbage served with the duck was an excellent compliment. The other guests were happy with their fillets as well. Desserts were delicious and size portion excellent. Some food and wine items were not available which is forgivable as we have just come out of another Covid lockdown. Spice’s Covid protocols are really good and in my opinion, is a safe venue to have a meal.More

This restaurant was recommended by my cousin as we were staying in Westbrook. What an amazing experience. My wife and I arrived without a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. Definitely need to remember a reservation as they are busy. What an amazing...view to eat watching the ocean. Not recommended for small children. The menu is a wonderful selection with amazing flavours. My wife and I had the flamboyant fish and chips. On par with the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. If one didn’t know about this place you would not know it is there. I will most certainly be going back before we travel to Johannesburg. Keep it up. In today’s times it is hard finding a gem.More

Together with friends we went here during the week and it was very busy. Service was friendly and good, the food delicious and because it was windy we sat inside although there is still a great sea view. Delicious food and will be back.

We were so excited to have the opportunity to go to Spice as it was our favorite restaurant when they were in Morningside and we have not been since they moved to Westbrook. However, unfortunately we did not have a great experience. I booked a...table for 7 people on the terrace as it was a beautiful day. We arrived around 12pm and most of us ordered off their new light menu, which consisted of simple dishes like fish and chips and plump prawns, avocado salad. We were one of the first to arrive at the restaurant and on the advice of the waiter we ordered promptly. Our simple meals took 2 hours to arrive. Two of us who had ordered from the main menu had great meals however the meals from the light lunch menu were very underwhelming. 3 not so plump prawns and avo salad and 1 undercooked fish and chips. I asked the waiter why our meals took 2 hours to arrive and was told that the grilling takes a long time. I really don’t like to be lied to and admittedly, we never complained about the very unimpressive food because we were so hungry by the time the food arrived that we did not want to delay things further. It really was sad to have such an unimpressive experience from a restaurant that was one of my favorites. They really should not have introduced a cheaper, lighter menu if they can not deliver the same quality that Spice is known for. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back 😩More

A perfect end to our South African holiday. Some of the best food we had during our stay. Great views, lots of lightening out to sea.

I need to say thank you so much for dinner last night. I was unable to eat anything from the fabulous menu due to new braces and was fine about it but about a minute later I was offered some butternut soup with coconut cream,...oh my word, it was absolutely delicious even with the request of, "could you make it vegan and not too spicy please?" The service, food and atmosphere at Spice is incredible and we'll definitely be back.More

This restaurant is located overlooking the beach, and the coastline is rugged and glorious. So there’s the perfect setting, all that’s needed is great service and fine food. Job done! See you next time Spice, please have those wonderful Madame Lizzie’s Prawn Popadoms ready!
