    High quality!

    Fabulous place to taste what region have best to offer! The food was delicious, wine fabulous and deserts fantastic. One of the best places to eat in Bragança region for sure! Thanks

    Great food "transmontana"

    Loved it. Good menu with several dishes of regional food. Excellent quality smoked ham. Good surroundings

    Great food!

    Very tasty food, but the experience could be better if the serving person would be able to provide some recommendations, suggestions and at least know a few basic English words. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place for traditional Portuguese kitchen.

    Great meal, nice setting

    The setting of the restaurant is very nice. GPS refence will try to send you on a wild goose chase: ignore it, it's just on the main road. Specialty is grilled meat, I recomend the wild boar. They also sell locally made hams and "chouriços",...More

    A very typical restaurant

    We were spending the night at the A. Montesinho Turismo business in the same complex. Everyone was very friendly and the food is excellent, if you like real typical food from this part of Portugal, it's for sure a place to visit.

    Escaping the real life

    Great value rural restaurant

    The Don Roberto is part of the A. Montesinho business which includes holiday rooms in the Quinta das Casas Novas, nearby. Everyone is very friendly and the food is excellent, particularly if you like pork! Pigs are a special breed, Bisaro, reared by the owner....More

    amazing quality and value

    The Don Roberto is part of the A. Montesinho group in Him once near Braganca, and they rear their own pigs, serve the most wonderful pork, beef, and you can also choose their own sausage, chorizo , ham etc It is exceptional.

    Disappointing!

    We encountered a very poor and rude service (especially from the manager, and this was not even the first time), always pressing us to choose, eat and get out of there as soon as possible. Very limited choice of dishes and desserts. not worth the...More

    Description
    The typical Restaurant D. Roberto exists in Gimonde since 1935. The regional sausages and smoked Ham are a feature of this unique menus practiced by the family D. Roberto. Housed in a typical house "transmontana", any decor revolves around the theme of the hunting, sausages and ancient artefacts from the region. With the changing times has been successively renovated and adjusted, presenting today a configuration that allows it to be a reference in the region and one of the few local certificated restaurants. It has four distinct spaces. Two rooms, typical tavern, where you can nibble and sip various local delicacies and a shop selling regional products. Highlight of the menu are the fabulous products produced by Bisaro | Traditional Salsicharia.
