What a great place in Bokkomlaan for a sundowner and some snacks or even a proper dinner with deliciuos prawns. We enjoyed it and will be back!

A visit to Die Vishuis restaurant is an absolute must, when visiting the town of Velddrift. Fantastic food, lovely wine and true West Coast hospitality is what we again experienced during our visit to this remarkable little restaurant. Herman, the owner, is personally involved in...serving customers and he makes it his business to ensure that your visit is unforgettable. The atmosphere is absolutely unique and the beautiful view of the Berg river from where we had lunch, adds to the lovely environment. I most certainly recommends Die Vishuis to anyone who wants to experience true West Coast hospitality.More
One of the best restaurants in the Veldrift, The seafood platter was the best, and the Sangria's definitely pottend! We had the best time with Herman the owner as the host! The chillie souse absolute a winner, a must buy!
Had a lovely evening out at The Vishuis Restaurant in Bokkom Laan. The people were super friendly and the food was delicious. The views at sunset were absolutely magnificent and made perfect pictures. We would most definitely visit again.
We were so excited to be introduced to this restaurant, as it appeared so in keeping with the surrounds. Unfortunately , the fried fish, ordered by three of us, was tasteless. After being told it was fresh, the owner admitted that it had been fresh...before it was frozen! Such a pity as the ambiance was perfect.More
Lekker. A great find. Meet the owner and watch the river float by. Relax. Eat. Laugh. And forget about the troubles of Covid and the world. The food was awesome. Loved the Oysters and double portion of Harders. I didn't even mind the bones. Great...way to spend the Saturday afternoon. Thank you everyone.More
Stopped for lunch today after looking for a good seafood restaurant. We ordered the seafood platter for 2. I was really looking forward to a good seafood lunch. I was disappointed with the platter. Between the mussels and the chips I couldn't decide which one...was the best. I don't believe that anything on the platter was fresh at all. For being at the westcoast we really expected a much better meal rather than something extreme ordinary.More
Lovely food and drink. Had Patagonian prawns for lunch and too much wine. Herman and his wife really looked after us. Met some great South Africans in the restaurant who invited us back to there house for more wine!! Great restaurant, great country. Thank you
As many things on the west coast, time doesnt seem an urgency. The food is good, though maybe somewhat pricey. nice baked breadrolls, though i suspect it might have meed baked the day before. had the mullet and it was very tasty - would recommend...itMore
By far the biggest and tastiest oysters ever! The remainder of the food was good and the portions humongous, but the oysters! Very rustic setting overlooking the lagoon.
