I have just come back from one night in Amsterdam on a staff Christmas trip. The food was exquisite and not only did the chef come out to speak with us and serve us a dish or two, our waiting staff were tentative and polite...More

I visited this restaurant with my father who also works in the hospitality industry. Vermeer was his first Michelin experience and every time the word restaurant falls, he still talks about this experience. In my opinion the result of a kitchen team which shows guts...More

Interesting decor that was very comfortable and tables spaced far enough apart to keep the noise down. Service was impeccable. Cocktails adequate. We had a five course tasting menu with a duck substitute instead of pheasant. Interestingly the server said it was the whole duck...More

Vermeer is a great place to visit and a must for those into great food and service. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff very attentive but not overbearing. Good to see chef on the floor and taking the time to speak to his guests...More

We had such a great experience! Being vegan it is not always easy to find a Michelin restaurant. Vermeer was extra-special, and its vegan courses were fantastic! The service was also excellent, and we received the best service one can ask.

Another thing worth mentioning - incredible service, it was more than impeccable, truly perfect, the sommelier was particularly nice. I will...More

The food was mediocre to say the best. Some was okay but you did get the feeling of emperor's new clothes. I've eaten far better for far less. Don't dress up if you plan to go. In a suit and tie I felt well over...More

We were a little apprehensive at going to this high-end restaurant because we were not sure it would live of to our expectations. The food was just perfect and the service was a well rehearsed orchestra with each person knowing his or her role and...More

To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the
