Location and contact

The taste and quality of traditional cuisine with an innovative twist, you can taste its maximum respect for nature. This philosophy is underscored by the use of fair trade products and ingredients from Italy and Netherlands. For a perfect combination with the regional dishes there are, on the wine card, many available by the glass, small scale and artisan producers from Italy. For these reasons we choose to collaborate with the projects “The Alliance between Cooks and Slow Food Presidia”. Presidia are projects of Slow Food that safeguard small-scale quality productions that use traditional methods.

It's an unusual Italian restaurant, where you can discover the magic test of Venetian and more in general Italian food. And the people of the staff are nice, friendly and most of all real!

It had been a while since our last visit to Al Bàcaro, but our recent dinner was just as good as always. Started with the antipasto misto – a combination of fave e cicorie, sarde in saòr, and three lovely cheeses. Followed by tagliata di...More

We felt we were back in Italy at this small very friendly restaurant. It's slightly away from the main tourist streets and you could easily not notice it as you pass. But it is absolutely essential to book. We tried on-line a few weeks ahead...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
