Have had better pizza. Nothing to site home about. Not too expensive. Fun area. My son loved the risotto. Pleasant service.

The restaurant has a really nice ambient and the pizza's are delicious. Once ordered, it only took around 15 minutes until the food was brought to the table. The pizza has a very fine crust and the toppings are really fresh. I would go here...again when I come back to this area of Amsterdam. Thumbs up :)More

An almost local place for a varied selection of good pizza and Italian cuisine. The pizza are best – large and flavourful, good selection and fresh flavours. A table outdoors in Summer under the magnificent old trees in a courtyard is best

Fresh, delicious Italian cuisine:) Fantastic slim pizza with beautiful Toskana wine, fresh burrata with salad. Service was perfect, very pleasant. A lot of space beetween tables. Really good place!

We enjoyed our calzone, the portions are very generous, you won't leave this place hungry. The crust was very tasty and thin. The staff is attentive. When you are in the neighborhood, this is a good Italian to stop for a bite.

I was pleasantly surprised by my dining experience. I called ahead of time and arranged a romantic secluded table for my wife and I This quaint family run Italian restaurant offers the perfect base pizza. My wife enjoyed the Veal. The Barolo was perfect match...for our meal as suggested by the friendly staff. I will most certainly dine at District 5 again. They really aimed to make our night perfectMore

We dined at this restaurant on Saturday night, 2nd July. We had booked in advance. When arrived we noticed that the terrace outside of the restaurant was busy as was the inside when we were shown to our table. When the waitresse arrived to take...our order I asked for a "aubergine lasagne" starter to be told that it was not available because the kitchen was "too busy" to prepare it. So I opted for another "starter" and we completed our order. Our drinks arrived quite promptly thereafter. It was then that the situation went downhill dramatically in terms of a dining experience. It took one hour for our "starter" to arrive and the best part of a second hour for our main courses to be presented. For my main course I had ordered "saltimbocca" which was to come with oven-cooked potatoes. It arrived with a salad; when I queried this I was told that the kitchen did not have the time to prepare them and the salad was a substitute. I sent the salad back. We didn't bother to order dessert - we just wanted to leave and put this bad dining experience behind us. In fairness, our waitress was sympathetic; she apologised for the appalling service from the kitchen and offered us coffee or prosecco "on the house" as a recompense. I had a clear view of the kitchen from our table and it was obvious to me the the kitchen was under-sized and could not cope with the numbers of diners in the restaurant, outside and inside. So if you are intending to dine here it would be very wise to go on a "quiet" night otherwise be prepared to wait a long time for you meal.More

Food is okay-is he but the service is all over the place and never at your table when you need them. Like a choir without a conductor.
